• Establishing and embedding aligned and integrated social development processes that provide direction and guidance for undertaking charitable activities, including consideration of safeguarding procedures
• Contributing towards an organisation-wide communications strategy that showcases NEBOSH as a prominent health and safety education charity.

Job Description
This is a great time to join PCR’s Events & Community team as we expand the team off the back of raising over £1.3m (against a target of £800k) in 2023-24. We’ve had a really successful year with good results across our portfolio, so we’re excited to be recruiting a brand-new role to focus on PCR’s bespoke events and finding the successful events of the future!
We are therefore looking for a proactive team player to join us and lead the innovation and delivery of our programme of PCR-owned fundraising events. This will include our flagship challenge Snowdonia for Science, as well as leading product development of new challenge, community fundraising and special event propositions. The Bespoke Events Manager will also work with colleagues across the organisation to support other strategic and stewardship events.
The position reports to the Head of Events & Community, and will line manage one Events & Community Officer. Collaboration will be a big part of the role, especially with the Virtual & Challenge Events Manager (VCM) who leads our virtual fundraising and third-party challenge events.
Key Responsibilities
As Bespoke Events Manager, we would be very keen to work with you to develop and shape this into an exciting and meaningful role for you. We prioritise our team member's development, and there will be a percentage of time available to work on other areas of the portfolio for development and interest. However, your main focus would be;
Project Management
- Project manage PCR's flagship challenge, Snowdonia For Science. An amazing community event now enering its 16th year and forcast to raise £100k in 2024. This event is well-established but with plenty of room for you to make your mark, grow and improve the event.
- Project manage new events and community products as they are developed and tested, including end-to-end planning and delivery
- Design and deliver ambitious fundraising budgets for your projects which contribute net income towards PCR's lifesaving mission.
- Create good relationships with suppliers, venues, agencies and consultants to ensure great value.
- Lead the stewardship of fundraisers taking part in your events, boosting income and using feedback to continually develop positive journeys, experiences and opportunities for supporters
- Alongside the Head of Events & Community and others, support the development and delivery of other events, including high value fundraising and stewardship events, and plans for a conference style event in collaboration with PCR's Research & Comms and Patient Projects teams.
Product development and innovation
- As a key part of the role, you’ll spend a good proportion of your time developing and testing new fundraising propositions, taking a test & learn approach. For this, there are realistic budgets and an understanding of the investment needed to try new ideas.
- Product development will include special event product testing and at least one new community fundraising product in 2024-25.
- Maintain a good level of understanding of PCR’s existing (and target) supporters in order to create and implement products and stewardship that motivate and inspire them.
- Alongside the Head of E&C and the VCM, embed a culture of innovation and supporter insight in the team.
- Proactively collaborate internally, working with other teams to identify opportunities for new events, activities and stewardship journeys that meet Prostate Cancer Research’s objectives.
Team leadership
- Line manage one Events & Community Officer, overseeing their work, guiding them to improve & innovate in their role, and supporting their professional development.
- Work closely with the Head of E&C and the VCM on team strategy, capacity planning and ways of working.
- Alongside the VCM, take a lead role on developing processes and infrastructure across the team including for stewardship, content, data and compliance.
- Attend and contribute to meetings, sharing new ideas and learnings that might be useful for the wider team.
- Work with the Head of E&C and the VCM to embed and model PCR’s organisational values in the Events. Our values include: innovation, collaboration, accountability and championing the patient voice.
As with everyone in the Public Fundraising team, the Bespoke Events Manager may also get in involved with other projects and tasks as appropriate to support all our activities.

As Grants and Bids Manager, you will manage statutory funding applications of five, six and seven figure multi-year income compliant with commissioner/funder requirements and oversee the project management of applications – managing timelines, activities, delegating tasks and ensuring stakeholders meet them, support decision-making through providing relevant and informed advice and producing high quality funding proposals and applications.

About you
To be successful, it is important that you have:
- Significant operational experience in mass-market PR, as a print or broadcast journalist, or equivalent professional media communications experience

FUNDRAISING MANAGER (INTERIM)
We have an exciting opportunity to join the thriving and dynamic SARSAS team as our Fundraising Manager.
About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to help SARSAS realise it’s vision of a world without sexual violence, through our ambitious strategy to extend our preventive programmes and maintain our essential high-quality services. Through developing and expanding income generated through trust and grants, corporate giving and individual giving, you will help us to be part of the systems change to end gender-based violence.
You will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and team leads to understand funding priorities, identify potential funders and donors and develop compelling funding bids, proposals and appeals. This will include collaboration to develop partnership proposals.
You will undertake new prospect research and develop and nurture excellent donor relationships. You will seek opportunities to strengthen and build on existing and lapsed funding relationships and be proactive about identifying further development opportunities.
In order to realise our ambitions, we need to extend our programme of fundraising growth, so we can increase our annual income from circa £3 million to in excess of £3.5 million.
About you
Through this new organisational role, you’ll proactively create and grow fundraising income opportunities with individuals, corporate partners and grant giving trusts and foundations. You'll bring our cause to life and building lasting funder and donor relationships, leading the drive for new donor engagement and securing sustainable, multi-year funding.
Through your fundraising expertise, you will have a proven track record of building relationships with corporate partners, individuals and other donors to achieve and exceed annual income targets and KPI’s. You’ll have ability support and mentor your team and the capacity yourself to create and craft compelling bids, proposals and appeals that successfully engage and attract donations from new and existing supporters.
You will be an exemplary relationship builder and have experience in developing multi-faceted partnerships (ideally with experience and success in employee engagement, corporate sponsorship, and/or operational partnerships).
We are a small team and so you will be comfortable rolling up your sleeves to help out team members and to support new business across other income streams.

SARSAS exists to relieve the trauma and distress, and help rebuild the lives, of survivors who live in Somerset, Bristol, South Gloucestershire, North Somerset and BANES, who have experienced any form of sexual violence, at any point in their lives.
SARSAS also campaigns and raises awareness about rape and sexual violence to change the narrative about sexual violence and enable survivor’s voices to be heard. Partnership work with a range of agencies locally and nationally is a priority to enable social change.

Key responsibilities
Fundraising delivery and development
- Develop, monitor and manage a fundraising portfolio capable of generating in excess of £500k per annum, establishing a fundraising pipeline and a range of KPI’s that can be tracked and will enable you to make informed projections regarding future income.

Relationship management and stewardship
- With colleagues, undertake market research and funding insight to identify new prospects and grow our income and pool of supporters.
- Identify and broker relationships with key funders capable of funding against our fundraising priorities, providing high-quality relationship management, using appropriate communication tools and channels to maintain relationships with key individuals and organisations.
- Design and implement generic and bespoke stewardship plans for our current network of donors, working closely with the Communications Team on the development of mailings, reports, and events as necessary.
- Provide advice and support, as necessary, for staff who serve as primary contacts for funders/donors, to ensure that relationships are maintained to a high standard.

Planning, monitoring and evaluation
- Working closely with the SLT and relevant managers, develop a funding pipeline, which aligns across all programmes, and collaborate on quarterly update reports for the Board of Trustees and the Finance, Risk & HR Sub-Committee.
- Support SLT/ team leads to define fundraising priorities, ensuring that resources are deployed in a timely, and proportionate manner.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records to evidence the impact of fundraising activities, including raised income, donor acquisition, donor retention, return on investment, donor engagement metrics, and our fundraising growth rate.
- Oversee full implementation of Donorfy system for fundraising
- Provide high-quality monitoring and evaluation reports.
Staff management
- Provide leadership for your team, inspiring and motivating staff, freelancers and volunteers, setting KPIs, reviewing and improving performance, ensuring fundraising meets/exceeds targets.

The role of the Policy Manager is to work closely with our members to give a voice to the society within emerging health policy discussions, public consultations and to play an important role in the development of our integrated departmental campaigning approach. The Policy Manager also plays a leading role in the development of our pro-active policy work and helps to shape the direction of the society’s lobbying. In the last year the Policy Manager has played a crucial role in producing expert advice and guidance, as well as groundbreaking health economics research, which are improving the delivery of Rheumatology care across the country – and 2024/25 is going to be another exciting period for the team.

We’re surrounded by junk food. From the moment we're born, every second of every day, children are being targeted. Giant companies manipulate them with colourful, cuddly, clever marketing, deceive them with packaging claims and pump products at them that are full of junk. It's become the cultural wallpaper. Now, it risks endangering the health of a generation.
In the UK, nearly a third of children aged 2-15 face a higher risk of food-related ill health in their futures. The good news is, it's preventable. And we're biting back.
Bite Back is a youth activist movement challenging a food system that's been set up to fool us all by:
1) Calling out the manipulation of the junk food giants.
2) Demanding higher standards from food marketing and from everyday food itself.
3) Mobilising and equipping young people in the fight for better food.
We do all this so we can bite back against a global epidemic of food-related ill health.
About Bite Back in Schools
Bite Back has delivered our youth social action programme — Bite Back in Schools— to over 120 schools over the last two years. Working with secondary schools, we have supported over 2,000 11-14 year olds to plan and deliver social action projects to prioritise child health by improving their school food. This could be by making nutritious and sustainable food the norm by increasing the flow of healthy options in their canteens, or by redesigning the school food experience to put healthy options in the spotlight.
With funding awarded from the #iWill Fund, we are recruiting a brilliant cohort of schools who will join the programme in September 2024. Role Description
The Programmes Manager plays a key role supporting our community of schools during their time on the programme. They will support the design and lead on the delivery of Bite Back in Schools to ensure the best possible user experience for young people, their teachers and their schools, and to ensure the programme makes the greatest possible impact.
The Programmes Manager will report to the Head of Programmes, and will work closely with colleagues across Bite Back, in particular with our comms, digital, youth and policy teams, working within our Strategy and Delivery Function.

Process invoices related to the programme, liaising between schools and the Bite Back accounts team, and monitoring the monthly total payments made to schools.

Manage the budget for specific areas of programme expenditure, such as merchandise and Ambassador training.

Creating and uploading new high quality session plans, resources and materials to our digital platform as required.

Design and maintain reporting systems to monitor levels of engagement of individual schools, flagging concerns and proactively finding ways to mitigate issues to ensure schools remain on the programme.

Management of programmes section of Bite Back CRM system, keeping data up to date and accurate, and developing reports to share programme data with team and funders.

About You:
As our Senior Marketing Manager, you will play a pivotal role in our fundraising strategy. You will lead a multi-disciplinary team to raise unrestricted income by engaging schools and workplaces to participate in Christmas Jumper Day and raise much-needed funds for children for 6 months of the year. For the other 6 months of the year, you will lead marketing and fundraising projects across Public Income and Engagement to drive us towards Save the Children's goal of raising £60 million by 2030.
You will also lead on the development of multi-channel marketing plans, with a focus on audience, to drive ambitious brand awareness, supporter action, income and loyalty targets including email, display, paid social, direct mail, TV, radio and out of home, across a range of engagement opportunities and propositions (legacies, regular giving, emergencies and mass participation)
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a multi-disciplinary team to attract and engage supporters to drive participation and income generation for Christmas Jumper Day.
- Lead the development of multi-channel marketing plans, with a focus on audience and insight.
- Lead the team's relationship with the media buying agency to buy and optimize media.
- Cultivate collaborative relationships with key partners such as marketing agencies, production companies, and fulfilment agencies, motivating and inspiring them to deliver their best for Save the Children.
- Inspire internal partners and colleagues to focus on raising money around the Christmas Jumper Day campaign.
- Manage team budgets and reporting.
- Support the Deputy Director of Public Income and Engagement to lead fundraising and marketing projects outside the Christmas Jumper Day campaign period.
Key Requirements:
- Significant experience in marketing, including developing complex and integrated multi-channel marketing plans, data analysis, and audience planning.
- Outstanding project management skills with a proven ability to plan and manage activity that delivers complex projects on time and to budget.
- Extensive experience in effectively managing external partners, including working with media agencies, creative agencies, and fulfilment agencies.
- Experience in developing marketing assets to drive engagement and action.
- Experience in developing engaging supporter journeys across channels.
- Ability to provide technical leadership for the organization in delivering marketing across various media types.
- Experience in managing budgets.

The majority of our roles can be performed remotely in the UK. However, for this role, you will be required to work from our Farringdon Office in London on average 1 day a week. Travel costs to your contracted office will be at your own expense.

About the role
As a Strategic Development Manager, you’ll work within the Partnerships Department and play a key role to build on existing significant relationships. In addition, develop new larger Key Partner Relationships and be actively involved with our strategy to selected Church and Event networks.
You’ll be required to speak extensively within church and event settings a call to action, asking people to consider supporting the work of Compassion. To maximise the opportunities from these partnerships and to achieve regional acquisition objectives. The successful candidate would be based in Greater London/within M25 and have good relationships within the ethnically diverse church.

Hours
35 hours per week over a flexible working pattern with an estimated 24 weekend activities per annum. Although this is a flexible working pattern the core office hours tend to be between 08:00 - 18:00 Monday to Friday, allowing for workload variations.
