Community Legacy Manager (Scotland & Northern England)

Salary: £28,000 p.a. + company car + excellent benefits

Contract length: Permanent

  • engage and cultivate current and new supporters to encourage legacy giving
  • work within communities autonomously and with other teams to build local presence and raise the profile of Cancer Research UK within your region
  • develop and implement innovative and exciting ways to involve supporters building emotional loyalty and increasing propensity to give
  • develop and implement a robust regional strategy that supports national plans and allows specific focus on areas of need within your region

  • Excellent relationship, negotiating and influencing skills; with team, internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent face to face and telephone relationship building skills
  • A willingness and ability to regularly travel across the UK with some unsocial working hours at weekends and evenings
  • Strong demonstrable keyboard and IT skills including knowledge of Windows, MS office, and Raisers Edge/Care Contacts/Siebel or other sector recognised databases.
  • Confident presentation skills with extensive experience of delivering complex information to large audiences
  • Extensive knowledge of relevant charity and data protection laws
  • Confident communication skills with the ability to adapt your style to different people or situations
  • Good understanding of the Legacy sector would be advantageous.
