Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum

Location: Stratford, London w/ high-flex

Contract length: Permanent

Application Deadline: Sunday 19th September 2021, 23:55

Are you a self-motivated and sharp-minded individual with consumer insight experience that can help us beat cancer?

Why we need you

Cancer Research UK is the world’s leading independent charity dedicated to cancer research. We carry out scientific research to help prevent, diagnose and treat cancer and we have discovered new ways to beat cancer that together have saved hundreds of thousands of lives across the world.

We are recruiting for an enthusiastic Consumer Insight and Experience Manager to join our team. The role sits within our Marketing, Fundraising and Experience department and will support the Senior Manager to deliver a programme of primary and secondary research, providing a consumer-focused lens on business problems and bringing external trends and developments to bear at CRUK. One potential aspect of this role will be managing the Cancer Research UK Supporter Satisfaction Programme, so knowledge on either consumer experience or a voice of the customer programme would be an advantage but is not essential. The role will work collaboratively with teams across the organisation to ensure that insight findings are fully embedded; commissioning and managing consumer insight and experience projects as required.

What will I be doing?

Make an impact every day by…

  • Supporting the Senior Manager to deliver a programme of insight & experience projects

  • Carrying out end-to-end market research projects including leading primary research projects and carrying out secondary data analysis

  • Commissioning and managing market research agencies and consultants

  • Developing strong relationships with internal stakeholders, and helping them understand their insight requirements and ambitions

  • Designing and implementing research programmes to understand the current supporter experience across CRUK’s product portfolio

  • Monitoring the external and business market to maintain a consumer-focused lens on stakeholders’ business problems and research needs

What skills are you looking for?

You’ll be able to bring to the role…

  • Extensive experience of quantitative and qualitative market research techniques

  • Proven experience of agency management, including managing timelines, budgets and processes

  • A consumer focused, strategic and analytical mindset

  • Outward-looking approach, with ability to bring external trends and developments to bear at CRUK

  • Significant experience of data and research synthesis

  • A collaborative working style with excellent stakeholder management skills

  • Experience of managing a ‘voice of the customer’ programme would be an advantage.

Ideally, you’ll also be able to demonstrate significant experience of project delivery, strong core market research skills and a proven ability to work collaboratively across teams to ensure that insight findings are fully embedded.

What will I gain?

Without you we wouldn’t be able to achieve our aim of seeing 3 in 4 people survive cancer by 2034. So we want to reward you in as many ways as possible. Our benefits package includes generous holiday allowance, discounts on anything from travel to technology, gym membership, childcare vouchers and much more. You’ll also be able to access a wide range of learning and development opportunities. And ultimately, you’ll know that you’ll be changing lives through your work.

If you’re as ambitious as we are, join our collective force and enjoy an excellent career, as we save lives and add years.
