Why we need you
We are recruiting an enthusiastic Consumer Insight and Experience Manager to be responsible for horizon scanning and market insight work within the Consumer Insight and Experience team at Cancer Research UK.
The role will support the Senior Manager to implement a programme of work to monitor consumer trends and the external landscape, providing a consumer and future focused lens on business problems and bringing external trends and developments to bear at CRUK. The role will work collaboratively with teams across the organisation to ensure that colleagues have knowledge and understanding of the changing external landscape in which we operate, through communicating and embedding insight findings widely, as well as commission and manage consumer insight and experience projects as required.

Managing a comprehensive horizon scanning and market insight programme that delivers wide-ranging and relevant consumer trends and behaviour knowledge into Cancer Research UK
Using your knowledge of Cancer Research UK’s marketing, fundraising and engagement objectives to discern, analyse and contextualise the most relevant consumer insight and trends
Using your analysis and communication skills to produce detailed reports that deliver a consumer-focused lens on stakeholders’ business problems and meet their insight needs
Developing strong relationships with internal stakeholders through leading the horizon scanning community and ensuring the continued engagement of members, so the horizon scanning programme continues to deliver valued insights to the organisation
Supporting the Senior Manager to deliver a programme of insight & experience projects. Carrying out end-to-end market research projects, including primary research and secondary data analysis as required.
Commissioning and managing market research agencies and consultants
Designing and implementing research programmes to understand the current supporter experience across CRUK’s product portfolio.

Extensive experience of quantitative and qualitative market research techniques
Proven experience of agency management, including managing timelines, budgets and processes
Significant experience of data and research synthesis
Experience of monitoring and interpreting consumer trends
Ideally, you’ll also be able to demonstrate significant experience of project delivery, strong core market research skills and a proven ability to work collaboratively across teams to ensure that insight findings are fully embedded.
