CRUK encourages flexible working, and we would be happy to discuss requests for a change in hours or location for the right candidate.

Are you a strategic leader with extensive experience working with the NHS, ready for your next challenge?

Cancer Research UK (CRUK) is the world's largest Charity dedicated to fighting over 200 types of cancer. We think big, we are market leading, ambitious and innovative. Our vision for three in four people to survive the disease in the next 20 years means that we need to accelerate everything that we do. Through our cancer prevention initiatives, scientific research and fundraising - we have a passion to do things better and faster.

Our Information & Intelligence Research department plays a critical role in driving CRUK's influence on health services and developing our strategy addressing inequalities across the cancer pathway. You will set the vision for the department, delivering CRUK's evidence and intelligence strategy, underpinned by relevant research and clinical engagement. Through strategic evidence we inform the direction of cancer services in the UK and help drive evidence and research into identified gaps. Through this we engage with health professionals, from primary care right through to the highest levels of the NHS, to improve cancer prevention and early diagnosis at local level. This work is underpinned by a strong foundation of producing and disseminating high quality cancer intelligence to deliver our strategic priorities.

As Director of Information & Intelligence Research, you'll operate with a broad remit, overseeing a workforce of up to 100 people. You'll lead high performing and experienced teams across areas including Strategic Evidence, Cancer Intelligence, Clinical Engagement and Policy & Implementation research.
