Senior Content Strategist

Salary: £38,000 - £45,000
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 35 hours

Love content strategy and delivery? Want to use your expertise to help our goal to 3 in 4 surviving cancers by 2034? Our Senior Content Strategist role could be the perfect opportunity to do this.

What will I be doing?

You will take an active role driving one of CRUK's core digital capabilities, supporting the charity to help us create outstanding user-centred content. You'll also educate and train the organisation on content best practice. Delivering the tools and training required to support content creation in our digital hub and spoke model.

Make an impact every day by:


  • Managing the day-to-day implementation of content governance and standards, from planning through to ongoing maintenance and archiving

  • Designing, developing and delivering education and training to help improve digital content across CRUK. Both within the central Technology team, and across the wider organisation

  • Acting as an influential specialist in agile delivery teams, offering feedback, support, and guidance on content best practice

  • Driving improvement within the content practice area, and act as an evangelist for content throughout the organisation, providing recommendations to leadership as needed

  • Significant experience delivering digital content centred on user needs

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage people across the organisation on the benefits of a robust content strategy

  • Strong experience of content design, writing for the web and digital publishing standards
