Cancer Support UK is now looking for an enthusiastic and organized person to join our friendly 'Cancer Coach' team as a 'Cancer Coach Co-ordinator' to oversee and manage and co-ordinate our support groups.
Key tasks will include managing all aspects of the administration and organisation of the support group network across the U.K, ensuring participants are booked onto groups successfully and have received joining instructions, overseeing the smooth running of the groups, assessing applications for suitability, signposting, safeguarding and managing our CRM system. You will be the first point of contact for people coming into the service and therefore experience of managing difficult conversations with a vulnerable client group is preferred.
Ability to demonstrate previous experience of working in a charity, health or social care setting is essential, as is the ability to communicate confidently with a wide range of people. You will also need to demonstrate excellent orgnizational and I.T skills, with the ability to work as part of a team and on your own. The role is full time on a fixed term 12 month contract, with the possibility of extension. The role will be home based with occasional travel to meetings across the UK.
