Peer to peer emotional support can have a massive impact. Done well, It can help people who are coming to terms with a life limiting diagnosis of cardiomyopathy feel better able to cope, know where to turn to and become more hopeful about their future.
Cardiomyopathy UK delivers peer to peer support to its community of affected individuals and families through a number of recruited and trained volunteers via support groups, in cardiac clinics and through the helpline. Thanks to a grant from The National Lottery Community Fund, the charity aims to develop its services further so that it can reach even more individuals across the UK and is now looking for a full time Community Peer Support Manager to lead this growth.
We are looking for a highly motivated, service user orientated individual who can commit to growing our peer support services and deliver the highest calibre of support through our network of volunteers. You will need to be hardworking, innovative and empathetic to understand the needs of a diverse service user community and work with our volunteers to meet these needs.
