As an Annual Health Practitioner, you will provide support to local health services with their SMI (Severe Mental Illness) clinics. You will be key in shaping this role as the service develops as well as providing support to the core Access Community Mental Health team. The Annual Health Check Practitioner will also provide 1:1 support to encourage and enable people to attend their annual health checks.

The Autism Practitioner will work with people across Swindon with Autism and mild to moderate mental health concerns at pre/post assessment stage. Head of HR (Maternity Cover)
Hours: 28 hours per week (flexible working opportunities available)
Salary: £50,500 - £54,351 per annum (FTE)
Contract: Up to 12-month maternity cover (anticipated start date of 1st August 2024)
Base: Osney Mead, Oxford & work from home with occasional travel across Oxon & Wokingham, Reading, West Berks

The Head of HR works closely with the Senior Management Team, Trustees and all staff and provides operational leadership of Oxfordshire Mind’s HR services to enable our Vision and Purpose and deliver our strategic objectives through our people whilst upholding the values of the organisation.

About the role
Reporting to the CEO and managing a talented team of 2 HR Business Partners and 1 HR & Recruitment Administrator you will:
- Develop and implement HR strategies, processes and services aligned with our overall strategy and vision
- Develop Staff Wellbeing strategy and oversee the Staff Wellbeing Action Group
- Lead the HR function and team and be a pro-active member of the Senior Management Team
- Ensure high quality delivery of HR responsibilities including policies and processes, HRIS, resourcing, reward, employee services, management development, employee relations and learning
- Be the appointed competent person to advise on Health & Safety across the organisation, this includes ongoing monitoring via KPI’s and internal audits and leading the Health & Safety committee meetings
- Support and continue to develop the Employee Forum, including being a point of contact for the Union
- Embed a co-productive approach with partners, managers and leaders to achieve strategy and targets
- Monitor and provide insight and guidance on the effectiveness of people management practices and processes via a range of KPIs
- Support change initiatives and programmes
- Be an influential and visible figure in the business driving improvements forward in relation to people and culture
- Budget management and oversight
- Ensure HR compliance and risk management for employee relations issues and ensuring the organisation remains up to date with relevant legislation
About you

Essential criteria
- Previous experience across most HR disciplines such as recruitment and retention, wellbeing, learning and development, and HR administration as well as navigating complex HR issues
- Strong team manager who inspires and motivates hybrid and remote team members, promoting a positive and productive work environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and persuasively
- Strong relationship building skills at a senior level internally and externally and able to nurture partnerships and collaborative relationships with a range of organisations and stakeholders
- Ability to lead change projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely and successful implementation
- Proficient in identifying and mitigating risks associated with change initiatives
- Experience of using office productivity software such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) or equivalent and HRIS
- Takes a values-based approach to HR, aligning practices and decisions with the core values and culture of the organisation
- Has an understanding or passion for mental health and what we do
Desirable criteria
- Strong experience in all HR disciplines including Reward management, organisational design and talent management
- Significant leadership experience gained at senior level in a complex environment including working with unions either formally or informally
- Demonstrates self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and integrity, working with clarity and honesty
- Experience of working in the charity/mental health sector or with a board of trustees
- Ability to think strategically, develop a clear vision for the organisation, and influence key stakeholders. Proven track record in making sound strategic decisions considering long-term impact
- Passionate about the organisational vision, inspiring and motivating teams towards ambitious goals. Visionary and resilient during periods of change

The Hammersmith and Fulham service comprises of one high support hostel and two medium support hostels, housing 24 people experiencing mental ill health who may also have other complex support needs including substance use and offending behaviour or who may present with behaviours which can challenge.
About the role:
The primary role of the project is to enable clients to understand their emotional and mental health needs and manage these effectively. The Project Worker will also support clients to develop their living skills, develop & manage relationships, build social networks and access education, training or employment, by completing comprehensive needs and risk assessments with clients and identifying short-term objectives.
The projects provide support 24 hours a day and are staffed by a Night Concierge and Project Workers, this requires regular weekend working. All work undertaken will be in line with planned support. Staff are responsible for making sure that clients are actively involved in the process and that the support offered is full and holistic.
About you:
- Demonstrable experience of working with people experiencing mental health problems and other complex needs.
- A demonstrable understanding of Mental Health Legislation and how it can be applied.
- A good understanding of safeguarding issues and the ability to undertake comprehensive risk assessments related to this.
- A working knowledge of Housing Management as applied to a residential setting, and an understanding of the rights and responsibilities associated with various forms of tenure including excluded licenses.
- A demonstrable understanding of the Recovery Model, and the ability to engage and motivate people to move towards independence and inclusion.
- A proven ability to work in partnership with external stakeholders, particularly community mental health services and/or substance use services.
- A proven ability to create and deliver SMART action plans with clients through high quality risk and needs assessment.
- A level of numeracy sufficient to carry out tasks such as budgeting with clients, calculating benefit entitlements and monitoring rent payment.

Women and Girls Network (WGN) was established in 1987 and has spent over 30 years supporting women and girls across London affected by gendered violence. This includes childhood sexual abuse, domestic violence, rape, prostitution (including trafficking and sexual exploitation), female genital mutilation (FGM), and so-called 'honour' based crimes such as forced marriage.
Our goal is to promote, preserve, and restore the mental health and wellbeing of women and girls, to empower them to make a total and sustainable recovery from the experiences of violence.
About the role
We are now looking for an experienced and innovative individual to support the engagement and outreach of our Young Women’s Service.
The successful candidate will be experienced in developing and delivering creative Gender Based Violence (GBV) prevention programs and confident to successfully engage young women in a wide range of settings including schools, colleges, youth programs & pupil referral units to raise awareness, challenge and positively influence the attitudes and behaviours that normalise GBV in this peer group. You will receive training on delivering GBV Resilience Programs that build psychological and emotional resilience in young people (YP) to strengthen protective factors to promote positive mental and emotional well-being in YP. You will co-produce and deliver training and awareness raising work for professionals, including first responders and managers in GBV related services / mental health provisions, educational centres and non-abusing family members and carers to facilitate appropriate response towards YP at risk.
About you
You will therefore be skilled in nurturing and developing YP voices and active engagement within such forums. You will be skilled at working alongside young women with an acute awareness of how to successfully co-create and co-deliver training packages to professionals and the wider community, thus centralising YP as the leaders and change agents in the project.
