Responsible to: Tenancy Operational Lead
Location: Hybrid role with Nominal office working in Chorley, and regular travel to venues around Lancashire for tenant visits, training, and team meetings.
Lancashire Mind’s Tenancy Management Service works in partnership with several registered housing partners across Lancashire to manage a portfolio of properties on their behalf and provide tenancy support to people living with moderate mental health conditions.
We care about making a difference to people’s lives and through the provision of regular support, we work with each person to improve their mental wellbeing and build the confidence and skills to sustain their tenancy and move on to independent living.
We use an outcome-based approach, making sure that each person is involved in their own support planning from the start of their journey with us and achieve this by offering encouragement and one to one support to help each person to understand and manage their tenancy, develop social and daily living skills, gain access to essential services to manage their mental and physical health and help and guidance to maximise their benefits and improve their economic wellbeing.
Your new role
We are looking for a new Tenancy Management Worker to join our small and friendly team to manage a caseload of customers who have complex needs including mental health conditions, substance misuse, homelessness, and a possible history of offending.
Your job will be to work closely with these individuals to promote independent living and help them to achieve and sustain their tenancies. This is a challenging and varied job which is often rewarding, particularly when the people we have supported achieve their own goals and move on to build better lives.
What you will need to succeed
You will need experience of working with people with complex needs ideally in a supported or social housing setting and have the resilience to support people with a diverse range of mental health conditions to overcome barriers to independent living.
It is important that the right candidate is an excellent communicator, able to listen and understand people’s needs but also confident communicating and liaising with other local services and partner agencies to ensure each person has the right support in place.
An excellent working knowledge of safeguarding practices for protecting vulnerable people is also key to this role and the successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate proven experience of this.
Ideally, an understanding of the issues which arise within the social housing sector or experience working in a similar role would be an advantage.
You will need to be a good team player, with the ability to work well with others and be able to work on your own initiative with minimum supervision.
This is an essential car user role as it requires extensive travel to and from tenants’ properties in Lancashire.

Adult Re-settlement Case Worker – Bridge to Home Project
Hours: Full time 35 hours a week

Responsible to: Housing & Wellbeing Lead
Location: Option to work from the office in Chorley or a mix of home and office working, with extensive travel across Lancashire for work activities, meetings, and training.
Bridge to Home is a support initiative aimed at helping people transition from hospital wards back into their local communities. Our goal is to provide a seamless and comfortable experience for those who have been discharged from the hospital and require additional support during their recovery journey.
Your new role
This role will be responsible for delivering personalised intensive one-to-one support and guidance to individuals accessing the Bridge to Home and Lancashire Mind Housing & Wellbeing services in and around Lancashire
You will be required to work closely with hospital ward staff and other statutory services to offer personalised opportunities to people experiencing mental health issues, ready to be discharged from hospital wards.
What you will need to succeed

Registered Manager responsibilities:
- To ensure that the organisation meets its statutory duties in accordance with the Health and Social Care Act 2012, Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and all other legislation which affects us
- To participate in the emergency on-call system and ensure that all emergency on-call issues are dealt with effectively
- To attend local authority provider meetings, registered manager meetings and to liaise appropriately with other groups, agencies and authorities
- To monitor incidents and accidents within the organisation and provide information to the Board of Trustees
- To submit Provider Information Returns (PIR), safeguarding and other required notifications to the CQC in the agreed timescales
- To complete necessary referrals and self-assessments required by the funding local authority or CCG
- To keep abreast of changing legislation, best practice and service developments with regards to people with learning disabilities
Service Management and Development Responsibilities:
- To listen to the individuals using the service, and their staff, and to respond, if necessary with the Management Team and Board of Trustees, in a thoughtful and reasonable way in accordance with Ordinary Lifestyles’ values as a person centred service and a good employer
- To ensure that each individual’s person centred support plan and all other documents, e.g. risk management, health action plans etc. are reviewed on a regular basis so that the services continue to find safe and innovative ways of supporting people to become part of their local community
- To provide clear and effective leadership by setting standards, monitoring performance and providing a positive role model to ensure that the service is person centred
- To ensure adequate staffing levels, using workers who understand the needs of the individual(s) they work with, and to have a shared responsibility for recruitment, pay and matters concerning personnel management in consultation with the Management Team
- To provide information, guidance and ongoing supervision to enable staff to effectively and safely carry out their roles. Carry out job consultations, appraisals and monitoring of staff performance
- To help maintain quality by being involved in conducting regular audits
- To work with new individuals and their families who may wish to receive support from Ordinary Lifestyles, to complete needs assessments, accurate financial costings and identify any accommodation issues for any potential new services
- To work with Housing Associations / Landlords to ensure that accommodation meets the needs of the individuals living there.
- To publicise and promote the organisation within the wider community in order to increase awareness of our values and in order to encourage more families to be involved
General management responsibilities associated with this role:
- To work with others to ensure that all management policies and decisions support the agreed vision, mission, values, philosophy and strategic priorities of the charity
- To work with the Board of Trustees, attending meetings and providing them with clear quarterly reports on all aspects of the service
- To contribute along with others to the organisation’s Strategic Action Plan, or other frameworks for agreeing strategy

About the role
A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our bank as a Welfare Officer, providing cover as required for the SSAFA RAF Service across the UK.
Our Bank Welfare Officers will provide direct and impactful welfare support to RAF personnel and their immediate family on an ad hoc basis when a full-time member of the team is unavailable to do so.
As a trusted and confidential source of support, you will assist our service users with challenges they are facing, from mental ill-health, difficult relationships, domestic abuse, financial and cost-of-living concerns, resettlement, housing, childcare, equality issues, bereavement, military discharge or deployment and many more - no day will be the same, as such this is a great opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills within the Welfare sector.
Our intervention is provided with consent on a non-statutory basis, and you will work with and engage our service users to develop appropriate interventions for individual outcomes.
Our service is transitioning to become more accessible and inclusive, digital technology plays a key role in this, as such you may be asked to use digital technologies to complement and enhance processes and service user experience.
You will work closely with RAF welfare teams, local authorities, health, education, civilian agencies, charities and other military organisations to ensure the best outcome for the service user.

About you
To thrive in this role you will have relevant experience of supporting adults, families and children/young people. You will be able to take a flexible and creative approach to problem solving. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to deliver presentations with confidence.
You will have used Microsoft Office 365 to a high standard. It is important that you have experience of planning and managing your own workload, with minimal supervision.
It would be advantageous if you have experience of carrying out assessments, preparing plans, monitoring and reviewing outcomes.
There will be some travel required and therefore you will need to be able to drive, have access to your own car and be flexible to spend nights away from home occasionally within the UK at short notice..

Princess Court is a 24-hour Mental Health Supported Housing Service that provides a person-centred holistic approach to promote the recovery of the people who live here and help them regain their independence. The individuals entering the service have high-level support and care needs that can include serious mental illness and/or a history of substance misuse.
Our role is to support them, identify and meet their diverse needs and help them on their personalised recovery journey.
This challenging front line role comes with responsibility for the day-to-day management of the service, contracts, staff and building maintenance. As well as ensuring the very best delivery and offering direct employment support to Service Users, you’ll be responsible for promoting the service and managing all referrals. Line managing and provide supervision to front-line staff, providing individual and group support sessions to Service Users, ensuring data entry to MI & reporting systems is accurate and timely, and taking responsibility for the service budget – these are just some aspects of this varied and vital leadership role.
To succeed, you’ll need a proven relevant background that includes experience of managing a caseload of individuals with complex needs and, ideally, an understanding of the CQC Framework. A relevant professional qualification (e.g., CQSW, CIOH, RMN) would be useful too, as would experience of carrying out investigations and writing reports and recommendations and managing a budget. More important however, is your ability to lead, supervise and motivate staff and delegate work appropriately and managing conflicting demands and priorities in a timely manner.
