Why work for us?
Are you a talented senior manager with strong experience in international development? Do you share CARE International’s commitment to the rights of women and girls and ending poverty around the world? Have you got experience of working in or with technical teams to meet bold quality and income targets? We’re looking for an ambitious, skilled, collaborative and committed leader to take on our new role of Head of Programme Quality. If you’re looking for your next leadership challenge, we’d love to hear from you.
About the role
The Head of Programme Quality role at CARE International UK has been created to lead a team of 20 technical staff with expertise and influence in Women’s Economic Empowerment, Inclusive Governance, Shelter and Gender and Resilience. The teams operate across CARE International globally and with external organisations. We’ve set ourselves ambitious targets to grow our influence and increase our income across our technical teams in the coming two years. We’re looking for an experienced manager to line-manage six team leaders and to take responsibility across all the technical teams for budgeting, income generation and cost-recovery. You’ll work within the Leadership Team at CARE International UK and with senior colleagues across the CARE International federation. Externally you will be responsible for growing and maintaining relationships with new and existing donors, partners and potential clients.
You will need excellent people management skills, a strong grasp of budgeting and financial management and experience of securing and managing donor income from a range of sources including grants, commercial contracts and consultancy. You will excel at developing and growing relationships, both across the CARE International network and externally.
