About the role
Our Welfare Officers provide direct and impactful welfare support to RAF personnel and their immediate family. As a trusted and confidential source of support, you will assist our service users with challenges they are facing, from mental ill-health, difficult relationships, domestic abuse, financial and cost-of-living concerns, resettlement, housing, childcare, equality issues, bereavement, military discharge or deployment and many more - no day will be the same, as such this is a great opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills within the Welfare sector.
Our intervention is provided with consent on a non-statutory basis, and you will work with and engage our service users to develop appropriate interventions for individual outcomes.
Our service is transitioning to become more accessible and inclusive, digital technology plays a key role in this, as such you will use digital technologies to complement and enhance processes and service user experience.
You will play an active role within the community, promoting the service through the delivery of presentations and representing the service at public engagement events. You will also work closely with RAF welfare teams, local authorities, health, education, civilian agencies, charities and other military organisations to ensure the best outcome for the service user.

2024 marks 34 years since SSAFA began delivering an independent non-statutory, and confidential service, for the Royal Air Force community across the UK, and this is an exciting time to be joining as we were recently successful in our bid to continue delivering this service.

About you

You will have used Microsoft Office 365 to a high standard. It is important that you have experience of planning and managing your own workload, with minimal supervision.
It would be advantageous if you have experience of carrying out assessments, preparing plans, monitoring and reviewing outcomes.
There will be some travel required and therefore you will need to be able to drive and have access to your own car.

We are looking for an Independent Advocate to join our team working on our Advocacy contract on a part time basis in Broadmoor. Our ideal candidate will have worked in advocacy, information and advice or similar role before, ideally in a health, social care or voluntary setting and will have experience of working with vulnerable adults.
The candidate will have strong experience working with adults at risk who are affected by significant health and social care issues who find it difficult to speak up for themselves; and experience providing persuasive verbal and written representations.
In this role the ideal candidate will be supporting a wide range of adults with profound and multiple needs. The successful candidate will need a good working knowledge of public and voluntary organisations to enable them to work in partnership with clients and professionals, gaining an understanding of their issues by listening, exploring options and taking action as directed by them.
You will need to have a flexible attitude and must be comfortable handling highly sensitive information whilst able to work well independently and confidently on behalf of others. Strong communication skills and time management skills will be required and you will need to be computer literate. A full induction and training schedule along with IAP (Independent Advocacy Qualification) will be provided as well as ongoing peer mentoring and support.

Princess Court is a 24-hour Mental Health Supported Housing Service that provides a person-centred holistic approach to promote the recovery of the people who live here and help them regain their independence. The individuals entering the service have high-level support and care needs that can include serious mental illness and/or a history of substance misuse.
Our role is to support them, identify and meet their diverse needs and help them on their personalised recovery journey.
This challenging front line role comes with responsibility for the day-to-day management of the service, contracts, staff and building maintenance. As well as ensuring the very best delivery and offering direct employment support to Service Users, you’ll be responsible for promoting the service and managing all referrals. Line managing and provide supervision to front-line staff, providing individual and group support sessions to Service Users, ensuring data entry to MI & reporting systems is accurate and timely, and taking responsibility for the service budget – these are just some aspects of this varied and vital leadership role.
To succeed, you’ll need a proven relevant background that includes experience of managing a caseload of individuals with complex needs and, ideally, an understanding of the CQC Framework. The Sybil Levin Day Service is a specialist SPECAL-Led day service supporting people with dementia and their carers using the SPECAL method.
You will be part of a small team at the Specialist Day Service and use an innovative person-centred approach to support people with dementia.
This post requires that you will provide personal care including assisting people to use the toilet as required and assisting people to have a bath as required.

About the Crisis Service
Hertfordshire Mind Network’s Nightlight Service (Café’s, Helpline, 24/7 Crisis House and Daylight provision) is proud to provide urgent support, crisis intervention and emotional support to people experiencing a mental health crisis in Hertfordshire as an alternative to statutory pathways. We provide support to adults across Hertfordshire 7 days a week, 365 days a year through our helpline, crisis cafes and 24/7 Crisis Centre.
We aim to provide a safe space for people in crisis to talk and feel supported, be listened to without judgement, access relevant support with problem solving and facilitate access to external services when necessary.
Purpose of the Post
As a member of our diverse team, you will work closely with service users in crisis by using a person-centred approach to ensure that each individual is supported with dignity and respect. By honouring the individual experience of each service user, we are able to respect their autonomy as well as encourage and facilitate positive steps towards management of crisis and recovery.
Alongside other Crisis Cafe Coordinators, you will be a key member of the Crisis team, providing effective operational leadership delivering the Nightlight Mental Health Crisis Café and Helpline Service.
You will be ensuring the delivery and development of quality crisis support services and instilling Hertfordshire Mind Network’s values throughout the provision. You will provide management support to Crisis Café and Helpline Mental Health Support Workers and volunteers and support the Crisis Café Team Leader in ensuring practice within the service is safe, effective and person centred.

Title: Programme & Events Coordinator
Reports to: Senior Programme Administrator
Based: Remotely – however must be willing and able to travel as and when required to meetings and events.
Job Purpose: To organise the planning and implementation of Programmes & Events and maintain a high level of accuracy and detail throughout.
The role:
Arrhythmia Alliance Group is recruiting a Programme & Events Co-ordinator on a full-time, permanent, remote basis. Your skills will be essential in strengthening the charities profile through programmes and event planning and coordination.
You will support the organisation with its’ programme and events portfolio by developing healthy, professional, relationships at all levels. You will also showcase initiatives taken and their key impact in making a real difference in people's lives.
Main responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, attend and execute a range of charity programmes and events.
- Oversee all event logistics, including venue selection, contract negotiations, transportation, accommodation, and catering arrangements.
- Agenda and room allocations
- Liaise effectively with various vendors and service providers.
- Develop and manage budgets, providing financial reports and forecasts to senior management.
- Evaluate programme and event success through feedback collection and analysis, making necessary recommendations for improvements.
- Promote the organisation's brand image, values, and initiatives.
Ensure all events are compliant with relevant standards and other regulations.
- Diary management for all programmes and events
- Support in production of relevant presentations and be able to present on the Charity group whilst attending events online or in person.
- Take payments over the phone as and when required.
- Attend physical meetings and events as and when needed to provide support.
- Support the production of recording for Healthcare Professionals, patients and care givers for educational webinars & events using but not limited to Microsoft Teams or Zoom.
Essential requirements:
- Experience working with vendors and negotiating venue contracts.
- Excellent organisational and project management skills.
- Ability to manage budgets and financial planning for events.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle last-minute changes.
- Ability to engage with wide range of stakeholders including healthcare professionals, patients, caregivers, sponsors and exhibitors.
- Creative thinker and problem-solver.
Person specification:
- Educated to GCSE level (minimum).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Advanced Knowledge in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage own workload.
- Can undertake a wide variety of tasks and multi-task with ease.
- Ability to work on own initiative.

Job Description
The role of Missing From Home Caseworker is an excellent opportunity to join a highly communicative team of professionals, who are actively working as part of a multi-agency team, to support and empower at-risk children and young people (10-18 years old), across the Merseyside area.

About You
- An excellent communicator, with the ability to effectively engage young people, and their parents or carers, handling sensitive and confidential issues with tact and diplomacy.
- Experience of planning, delivering, and evaluating support activities for and directly with young people.
- Experience of case management (assessment, action planning, reviews).
- Great organisational skills, with the ability to proactively evaluate and monitor progress against targets, to achieve action plan deadlines.
- Able to work in partnership with a variety of agencies to achieve agreed outcomes.
Main Duties and Accountabilities
- Undertaking one to one work with children and young people who are vulnerable to child exploitation (CE), and planning and delivering appropriate support interventions.
- Identifying and supporting access to additional or specialist services for young people and parents where necessary, to ensure that their needs are met, and risk factors are reduced.
- Completing all required monitoring information by set timescales, and correctly recording all interventions, contacts, and multi-agency correspondence.
- Offering educational awareness raising within the local authority, to improve risk reduction, and co-facilitating CE Awareness training.
- Developing and sustaining productive working relationships with referring agencies, such as working in partnership with Children’s Social Care, to facilitate support.
- Working with the Local Authorities, and their Local Safeguarding Children’s Board, to ensure positive media messages, and marketing of the service to young people.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 GCSE’s (grade C or above), or equivalent.
- Able to use a variety of IT applications effectively, and skilled in writing concise reports.
- Knowledge of Safeguarding, Health and Safety, and Risk Management procedures, and knowledge of the issues affecting young people who are at risk of CE.
- Access to a car, and a full driving licence.

Join Richmond Fellowship as a Recovery and Connect Worker and you’ll play a vital role in helping individuals access the support services and opportunities they need to improve their quality of life and ensure that their mental health is improving.
Chester and Wirral pathway is a community based project that will assist people in hospital ready for discharge home from mental health inpatient settings.
Your role will be in supporting patients in various hospital settings to overcome the barriers to them leaving hospital. This will include being part of MDT meetings, housing and benefits support, utility reconnection, identifying housing and a package of 12 week support upon discharge from hospital. Ideally candidates will have good housing experience. This is an agile role that will require travel between hospitals and the community.
Your challenge will be to support individuals with complex mental health needs to feel in control of their care, access mental health support and other local opportunities and build their emotional resilience. You’ll manage a caseload of individuals with mental health concerns, formulating support plans and establishing positive relationships with a range of multidisciplinary organisations.
You’ll need a significant understanding of mental health issues and substantial experience of working within a mental health setting where you dealt with ‘high risk’ clients and managing resources effectively. A good understanding of recovery and coproduction is important too, as is a proven ability to lead, supervise and motivate staff and delegate work appropriately. Adept at managing conflicting demands and priorities on time, you have a flexible attitude to working hours and, above all, keen to be part of something new and worthwhile that will change lives.
This is a fixed term role that ends on 1 April 2025. This is a full-time role requiring the post holder to work 37.5 hours per week.
