Are you passionate about making a difference to the lives of carers?

As the Project Officer for the Better Mental Health and Wellbeing project you will plan and coordinate the delivery of a programme of workshops and activities for our unpaid carers aged 18+ and local professionals working with carers.  Funded by Public Health England as part of the Mental Health Recovery Action Plan 2021/22, this project aims to enhance and expand Carers’ Hub existing interventions for adult carers, which support carers’ own wellbeing and allows them to take a break from caring and focus on themselves. The project will help carers to feel more confident in their caring roles, improve carers’ mental health and wellbeing and support carers to learn/develop skills that will help them manage day to day challenges. 

Carers’ Hub plays a vital role in Lambeth, supporting the many unpaid carers across the borough with 1-1 and peer support, signposting, monthly forums, training, workshops and social activities. The post holder will work closely with the Carers’ Hub team to support the successful delivery of the wider Carers’ Hub services, as well as contributing to newsletters, events, building partnerships and increasing your online presence.   As part of a small team, the post holder will be required to work flexibly with the team to establish and implement new processes and systems.
