Join the Carers’ Hub team to make a lasting difference to the lives of unpaid carers in Lambeth.
We are looking for a part time Service Coordinator working 28 hours per week, to join the team to shape and deliver a programme of 1 to 1 support, peer support groups and social activities for adults who are caring unpaid for someone affected by dementia.
The Adult Carers’ team supports carers from the age of 18 upwards who look after a family member, friend or neighbour living with an illness, disability, mental health problem or addiction, and this role will give you the opportunity to be creative and put the ideas that you will develop in partnership with carers into practice.
This is a brand new role, and fantastic opportunity to help build a new offer of dedicated support for dementia carers in Lambeth.
You will have exceptional organisational skills and a passion for working with dementia carers. You will also enjoy taking responsibility for making decisions, problem solving and using your initiative. You will be someone who is able to motivate and inspire carers to come along and take part, and be confident and comfortable talking to a wide range of people, facilitating group discussions and working autonomously in a small, friendly team.
