Job description

Working as a Service Coordinator specialising in carers looking after somebody with a learning disability will be a hugely varied and an extremely rewarding role.

You will facilitate a mix of established groups and forums and offer 1:1 support, as well as have the opportunity to work collaboratively with carers to shape and expand the existing programme, giving you the opportunity to be creative and put the ideas, which you will develop in partnership with carers, into practice.

As part of the Adult Carers Team you will be working with the team to design and deliver a range of social events open to all carers in Lambeth.  This could be day trips in London, local walks, coffee mornings or setting up partnerships with organisaitons to deliver training courses.

You will have exceptional people skills and enjoy taking responsibility for problem solving, using your initiative and working flexibly in a busy, fast paced environment.  You will be someone who is able to motivate and inspire carers to come along and take part in groups and you will enjoy working collaboratively in a small team to achieve shared goals.

Carers' Hub Lambeth is in an exciting phase of its development as we recently took the step to set up as an independent charity having been a service hosted by a much larger charity for the last 9 years.  We are a small dedicated team with big ambitions and as such are able to offer you lots of opportunities to develop new skills.

Closing date: Monday 16th September

Interview date: Thursday 26th September
