Full time: 35 hours per week – fixed term 12 months Contract
Carers Support Merton (CSM) is a well-established and respected charity, who this year is celebrating 30 years of supporting Carers in the London Borough of Merton. We have an ambitious development programme of work to support promote and improve the quality of life of unpaid carers from the age of 5 years. CSM is currently looking for an exceptional and committed Carer Needs Assessor to join our fantastic team. The post holders will be a first point of contact for information, advice and guidance to adult carers. They will undertake statutory assessments and develop support plans to ensure Carers receive all the help they need.
You will hold a minimum level 3 qualification in a related field e.g., health and social care, social work etc. and have experience of working with adults in a health or social care context. You will have excellent communication skills along with a good knowledge of the needs of unpaid family Carers. It would be a bonus if you have an interest or skills in supporting carers through social media e.g., posting on Facebook.

Salary (full time post): £28,137.20
Holiday Entitlement: 25 days + Bank Holidays per annum (pro rata for part time), rising to 28 days after five years-service

Location: We are currently working from home due to COVID-19 restrictions but in the future face to face work will take place from our offices in Mitcham, with the opportunity for some continued homeworking.
