Grants Fundrasising Officer - Caring For Life
The position is full time and is based at Crag House Farm in Leeds.
The specific role of the Grants Fundraising Officer is to apply for funding from Trusts, Foundations and grant-making bodies. The role also involves helping to nurture other areas of support.
As part of the fundraising team, the role will also involve assisting with general duties at busy times, such as Community Open Days, Supporters’ Days, formal visits and practical tasks at peak times.
Experience of researching and applying to Trusts, writing proposals and reports, and using databases would be greatly beneficial, but not essential. However excellent written and spoken communication skills are essential to this role, along with IT skills.
The post will involve writing about the charity’s firm Christian foundation and it may also involve taking an active role in providing compassionate and consistent care to beneficiaries. It may also involve taking part in prayer times, providing personal testimony in experiencing Jesus’ love with both beneficiaries, and members of the local community. You may be asked to assist in supporting presentations, representing the Trust predominantly to Christian church groups.
As such, there is a requirement for the holder of this post to be a practising Christian. This is an Occupational Requirement in accordance with the Equality Act 2010.
