An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Vulnerable Victims Case Manager to join our growing and expanding Beacon Victims Service based in Welwyn Garden City.

We support victims and witnesses to cope and recover from the impact of crime regardless of how long ago it happened or whether it was reported to the police or not. Our team of dedicated and trained professionals provide support every step of the way.


We are looking for a Senior Vulnerable Victims Case Manager to join our team. You will be responsible for ensuring that victims receive a high-quality service through the effective management of the team’s performance, maintaining organisational and professional standards expected of the victim service. You will ensure that victims’ needs are reviewed and met in line with the key targets and contractual expectations.  Maintaining a close working relationship with police partners, statutory services and voluntary agencies ensuring relationships are effectively managed and pathways of support for victims remain seamless to provide high quality and consistent service will also be a key part of your role.


To succeed in this role, you’ll need experience of leading casework and teams working with vulnerable people.  You’ll also need excellent communication skills and the ability to manage high standards of performance and produce data reports.  You’ll need to be able to demonstrate empathy with those suffering discrimination and disadvantage.  Above all you’ll have a passion for the work we do and a shared commitment to deliver our vision. 


Additional Information


  • Salary: £26,000 per annum
  • Hours: 37.5 hours per week. Some unsociable hours will be required.
  • Contract: Fixed term until 31st March 2021 with possibility for extension.
  • Vetting and Clearance Requirements: NPPV 2 (Police Vetting), Enhanced DBS check.


You will need a current driving licence, business insurance and use of a suitable vehicle for work. You must be willing to travel across Hertfordshire to deliver support within the community according to victims’ needs.
