Fixed term contract - 12 months maternity cover

Cats Protection is the UK’s leading feline welfare charity. We now help around 193,000 cats and kittens through our network of over 250 volunteer-run branches and 36 adoption centres and homing centres.
This exciting role will work on our flagship Pawsome Afternoon Tea mass participation event, as well as continue to develop our first virtual event – 9 miles trek challenge. As part of the role you will also innovate and develop a portfolio of new and fun ways for people to raise vital funds for the cats and kittens in our care.
We are looking for an innovative and ambitious Mass Participation Officer to join our small but passionate and high performing events team at Cats Protection.
We are looking for someone to ‘hit the ground running’ so you will already have experience of:
1. Creating digital marketing campaigns
2. Paid social media marketing
3. Writing digital content
4. Building automated email programmes for supporters
5. Creating detailed management reports
The successful candidate will need a passion for all things digital and events fundraising as well as strong planning and organisational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments. Experience of working in a charity or digital marketing/fundraising discipline would be an advantage but not essential.
