Job Description

In Memory Officer - Chelwood Gate, Sussex
Full time - 35 hours per week
Fixed term contract - 10 months maternity cover
£27,714.88 per annum (starting salary subject to experience) plus excellent benefits

Cats Protection is the UK’s leading feline welfare charity. We now help around 193,000 cats and kittens through our network of over 250 volunteer-run branches and 36 adoption centres and homing centres.

To develop and deliver the In Memory fundraising programme – for both human and pet in memory giving – in line with Cats Protection’s fundraising strategy and targets. To provide support to the promotion of Gifts in Wills and the Cat Guardians service.

Main Duties:

1. Deliver agreed aspects of the In Memory fundraising programme, from conception to implementation, ensuring that communications are sent on time, to the agreed audience, within budget and to the highest quality.

2. Take forward fundraising outcomes from the Pet Bereavement project, at both a national and regional level.

3. Develop In Memory stewardship programmes for both human and cat focused In Memory giving, and manage recognition opportunities across the team.

4. Deal with appropriate enquiries about In Memory Giving, and be a point of contact for other teams in their handling of enquiries and fulfilment.

5. Manage data from external agencies, ensure data capture of donor information is inputted correctly and well maintained on our CRM database, and provide results and data analysis of all activity and KPIs on a regular basis.

6. Manage relationships with various external agencies

7. Ensuring the In Memory sections of the website are kept up to date and functions as a suitable landing site for fundraising activity.

8. Support regional fundraisers, volunteers and other employees, with In Memory information, training and promotional materials.
