Please be aware this is initially being recruited as a fixed term contract for 18 months, working 20 hours per week (2.5 days) on a rota basis to include weekends.

We are seeking an flexible individual with a commitment to animal welfare to join our team as Regional Centre Driver at our new Harrow Centre.

Cats Protection is the UK’s leading feline welfare charity with a nationwide network of adoption and homing centres, volunteer-run branches and charity shops. During 2018 we helped around 184,000 cats and kittens, an average of 500 per day.

Our adoption and homing centres care for thousands of cats each year until they are able to find a loving new home. In 2018, 41,000 cats were rehomed and 3,000 more reunited with their owners. This success would not be possible without our dedicated team of employees and volunteers. Dealing with thousands of visitors each month, our centres are the face of Cats Protection and we pride ourselves on our employees providing the very best in animal welfare and customer service.

As a Centre Driver, you will work to meet Cats Protections’ aims and values by providing first class service for the cats under your care. You will ensure the safe and timely collection, transportation and delivery of cats between various centres, branches, vets, shelters, fosterers and adopters, in compliance with Cats Protections policies and procedures.  Working with the wider centre team to plan and coordinate transport requests.

Our successful candidate will be an excellent communicator with strong organisational skills.  You will have the ability to prioritise own workload and work without supervision, be a strong, flexible team player and have lots of energy teamed with a positive upbeat attitude. Experience with animal handling and a full, manual driving license is essential.
