We are seeking a proactive and dynamic personal assistant with experience of line management to join our Operations team as Senior Personal Assistant, at the National Cat Centre in Chelwood Gate, Haywards Heath.
Cats Protection is the UK’s leading cat welfare charity with a nationwide network of adoption centres, volunteer-led branches and charity shops. During 2018 we helped around 184,000 cats and kittens, an average of 500 per day.
The Operations Department is, quite simply, at the heart of all our cat related activities and is responsible for ensuring that we help as many cats as possible. We are unique, in that we deliver our work through a combination of centres, primarily run by our employees with volunteers support and volunteer-led branches. In fact, the bulk of our cat welfare work is carried out by around 11,000 volunteers across the entire country.
The role of the Operations Directorate is not only to support our employees and volunteers in everything that they do but also to deliver the charity’s strategic objectives and identify opportunities for further growth. The Operations Directorate also encompasses our Customer Experience teams.
As Senior Personal Assistant to the Director of Operations you will be responsible for providing a professional interface between the Directors office and key internal and external stakeholders. You will coordinate the administration of projects that are undertaken within the Operations Directorate and lead on small to medium sized projects as requested. You will organise and deliver events and conferences, liaising with external stakeholders to coordinate the attendance of CP delegates and all finance queries/processes - supporting the Director of Operations with budget setting and reviewing monthly management accounts. The Senior Personal Assistant is responsible for line managing the Operations Administration Support within the directorate.
Our successful candidate will be experienced in providing PA and administration support to senior/board level, including diary planning and travel arrangements; servicing meetings and project management. You will have supervisory and leadership skills, excellent organisation and communication skills and the ability to deal with a wide range of both internal and external customers. You will be able to keep calm under pressure with great credibility and have excellent working knowledge of MS office and Microsoft Teams.
