Activities Coordinator – Islington Outreach– (ACIO-0719)
Salary: £18,374.20 per annum pro rata, rising to £20,298.20 upon successful completion of probation
Hours: Full time, 37 hours per week (including evenings, weekends, bank holidays where relevant)
Centre 404 is a friendly, local and thriving charity with an excellent reputation for providing high quality support and services to people with learning disabilities and their families in North London.
We are currently looking for an Activities Coordinator to help complement existing support by providing meaningful activities for our service users in the Islington Outreach Service. This includes supporting a diverse range of service users with both leisure and occupational activities.
You will be involved in developing and implementing a range of creative new activity groups focusing on social interaction, learning and general wellbeing for service users with learning disabilities, promoting their independence and reducing reliance on 1:1 support. Alongside this, you will also have a caseload of your own service users to provide support, to enable them to become valued and participating members of the community in which they live, by achieving maximum independence and integration.
The role may include working with service users with a diverse range of support needs, including additional physical support, and who are living in supported accommodation or in their own homes.
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about delivering excellent quality, has a positive attitude to managing a varied workload, a willingness to learn and develop new skills, and the ability to work positively as part of a team.
