Job description

Support a local community charity and gain valubale skills and experience in a busy office environment.


Key Tasks/Activities:

  • Meet and greet visitors and ensure people sign in and out of the building
  • Assist with admin based projects including but not limited to: phone answering, diary management (Outlook), filing, photocopying, shredding, data input, formatting, and e-filing
  • Other project-based administration including but not limited to: phone work, mail outs, and record keeping
  • Take messages for staff members as required


Personal Attributes:

  • Friendly, patient, and helpful attitude
  • Ability to follow instructions and ask for help if needed
  • Proactive and able to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Good communication skills and the ability to deal with a wide range of staff and service users
  • Discrete and able to adhere to Centre 404’s confidentiality agreement
  • Good IT and computer skills
  • Ability to adhere to Centre 404’s mission statement and values, and use a person centred based approach when working with others


Training (provided and paid for by us):

  • Adult Safeguarding
  • Induction to Centre 404 reception and the work of Centre 404
  • Introduction to staff in the building
  • Ongoing supervision during the placement
