Head of Development
£38,000 to £50,000 (pro rata if part time), depending on experience and location.
Full and part time considered.
Location: Flexible, with at least two days in office on an average week.

This is a new role, which will be focused on strengthening, selling, and expanding CHI's offer.
We are looking for someone who has experience working in collaborative environments to meet organisational goals, build and manage relationships, and develop pitches that connect our mission and capabilities with the needs of potential funders. She/he will surface and establish partnerships, lead funding bids, and act as a key representative of the Centre to the outside world.
Working with the Chief Executive, you will lead on all aspects of development and fundraising; maintaining high level relationships with donors and prospective donors and maximising opportunities to secure new sources of income from individuals, companies and charitable trusts.
You will work across the homelessness and housing sector to identify compelling opportunities for complementary value creation. Elevate and amplify the Centre’s reputation, influence, and leadership in the sector by building new networks, partnerships, and externally-facing programmes, keeping ahead of the marketplace and promoting and positioning the CHI.
With a track record of working to, and achieving, financial targets ideally in a fundraising capacity or in a context where skills are transferable, experience of fundraising in the academic or voluntary sector in an executive or non-executive capacity is essential and experience of diversifying income streams in a start-up social sector organisation, you will be a great relationship builder and communicator with excellent influencing, negotiating and networking skills.
