Job Description

Head of Children and Young People’s Mental Health 35 hours per week

This exciting new post will head up our research and policy in the area of Children and Young People’s mental health. We are looking for someone with a breadth of knowledge in this field, who is able to contribute their experience and use their network of contacts to further the Centre’s influence on mental health policy for children and young people.

You will be able to apply your knowledge to design new research projects which provide evidence for local and national government, and customers including foundations and provider organisations.

You will be able to demonstrate a track-record in both desk-top data analysis and primary research/evaluation, and the ability to work with high level stakeholders in recommending local improvements in service design, configuration and delivery. The Centre hosts the Children and Young People's Mental Health Coalition, and you will work closely with its Strategic Lead, as well as overseeing CYP projects led by our team researchers, and with input from our economist and associate consultants.

In addition, you will have the ability to train and support peer researchers and to present findings to mixed audiences including community project leaders and young people who may need to use services.

Please apply before midnight on 31st December using the application form. CVs are not accepted.

Interviews will take place on Friday 11th January 2019 at our offices near Elephant and Castle.
