Centrepoint is the UK’s leading charity for homeless young people aged 16 to 25 years that aims to give each person we support a future. Our vision is to end youth homelessness. It’s in our culture, and we have created a new Apprenticeship Academy to provide work opportunities for young people at Centrepoint. This will help drive our culture forward. The Apprenticeship Academy will provide young people with the chance to shape and influence how the charity grows whilst delivering training and work experience to help them move on with their lives.
To launch this exciting new venture we are looking for an Apprenticeship Academy Manager who will be instrumental in making this vision a reality. You will need a passion for helping young people to reach their potential and a commitment to providing high quality training and work experience that can change lives.
The Apprenticeship Academy Manager will support young people to make the most of their Apprenticeship, and support Centrepoint staff to develop exciting new opportunities for young people. We are seeking an exceptional individual who can lead from the front inspiring both young people and Centrepoint staff to excel.
We are seeking someone who is passionate about supporting disadvantaged and excluded young people to turn their lives around through training and employment. That person will have a strong commitment towards diversity and equality and the drive to help young people to realise their potential.
The successful candidate would ideally have a minimum of two years’ experience operating in the work based learning sector. This should include operating Apprenticeship programmes and managing Apprenticeship providers and assessment organisations.
We are looking for someone with strong project management skills who has experience of budgeting and managing contracts. Good communications skills are essential, as is the ability to build good relationships both internally and externally.
