Centrepoint is the UK’s leading charity for homeless young people. Working with over 7,800 young people every year, our vision is to end youth homelessness. While we pursue this vision, our immediate focus is on providing vulnerable young people with a place to call home and a chance to acquire the skills they need to build a better future. Centrepoint works directly in London, Yorkshire and the North East of England, and collaborates actively with similar organisations right across the UK.
We are currently recruiting for a Deputy Service Manager. The role based in Westminster includes responsibilities for supported accommodation services and floating support services.
The purpose of the Deputy Service Manager role is to promote a vibrant culture with an uncompromising commitment to excellence and fully integrated support and development services, reflecting the needs of those accessing the service. At Centrepoint, we work in a Psychologically Informed Environment. All staff are required to implement this approach when working with young people.
You will be required to line management and staff to ensure that performance targets and contractual requirements are met and exceeded. You will motivate and develop the staff team to deliver a consistently high quality, needs led and responsive service to young people in order to support their personal development and ultimately move them into more independent accommodation. You will demonstrate strong leadership skills and a commitment to individual and team development through effective management of staff. You must be able to work flexibly and in line with the rota.
You will work positively and proactively with all local stakeholders including commissioners, providers, local community groups and young people.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team of staff providing an outstanding quality service to young people and stakeholders.
