As Data and Systems Lead, you will play a leading role in ensuring we use data effectively and strategically for the benefit of our partner schools, and to demonstrate the impact of our work. In this role, you will be the central point of contact/knowledge and administrator of our CRM system and will develop processes that deliver a high standard of accuracy, find solutions to technical issues and work with others to deliver improvements/efficiencies to how we work with our CRM. As a member of the Challenge Partners central team, you will contribute to every child receiving a great education.

With over 500 schools in our National Network of Excellence and 100 trusts this is an exciting time to join our central team and contribute to the success of our partnership.

Job Purpose:

The successful candidate will play a leading role in ensuring that Challenge Partners is able to use data effectively to deliver and demonstrate impact for our partner schools. The Data and Systems Lead will work with colleagues across the Challenge Partners team, as well as external stakeholders, to help translate the needs of the organisation into technological solutions. The Data and Systems Lead will creatively generate system improvements and automations, and serve as a champion for effective data management within the team.

The successful candidate will be comfortable tackling problems with solutions that they might not yet have the skills to solve. When faced with this, the Data and Systems Lead should be resourceful and ready to upskill themselves along the way. ,

Administrative experience of Salesforce or a similar CRM system is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

The duties and responsibilities of the Data and Systems Lead will include:

CRM administration: you will be responsible for driving the visibility and potential of our CRM system, putting in place processes to ensure a high standard of data accuracy. You will translate the needs of the team into systematic processes and automations that allow the team to work smarter.

Influencing and supporting the development of others: You will serve as a champion for the development of a culture of effective process management across the organisation. You will upskill the team and future proof the organization by facilitating the creation of a single source of information that everyone can access and understand.

Data collection and analysis: You will manage the processes by which data is collected, stored and analysed. This will include configuring our CRM system to collect and automate data from the schools/trusts we work with. You will support the creation of processes and systems that allow us as an organisation to make the most of the data we collect.

Project Management:  You will own relationships with external partners, be able to recommend novel solutions and lead on their implementation.

Related organisational support: other tasks commensurate with the role as appropriate.

Person Specification:

Specific skills and attitudes we are looking for in an applicant are as follows:

  • Independent self- starter willing to learn and seek out new knowledge/skills within the data and systems sphere to continue to improve
  • Practical and collaborative problem-solving approach to challenges as they arise
  • Experience of inputting, manipulating and interpreting quantitative and qualitative data
  • Excellent computer literacy, including with Microsoft Excel/Google sheets
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Works collaboratively and effectively with others across the organisation
  • Positivity, optimism and agility - we are a small organisation and all staff are expected to contribute across the organisation (and beyond their specific job role) to ensure our success and sustainability. A passion for education, and a desire to make a difference
