Job description

Job Title: Director of Finance

Hours: Full-time (0.8 may be considered)

Salary: £55-65k depending on experience

Location: Stroud (2-days from home per week possible)

We are working with a support charity working with individuals to overcome addiction and trauma, enabling them to enjoy a lifelong recovery.  The charity works throughout the South West of England, with their main office location in Stroud.

The organisation is now seeking a Director of Finance to join the senior leadership team.  The role will be responsible for providing professional strategic financial direction across the organisation and for exercising effective leadership of the Finance team.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following:

  • Significant relevant senior financial experience in financial and management accounting, strategic plan execution, and best practice delivery
  • A proven people leader able to influence, inspire, collaborate and motivate
  • A successful track record of achievement in supporting strategic plans and objectives through sound financial management
  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills to deliver a complex range of conflicting demands across the areas of finance, assurance and facilities
  • Good knowledge of charity law and reporting, charity governance and the latest charity accounting regulations and standards
