Winchester, Hampshire (Hybrid)
£25,000 - £27,000 pro rata, depending on experience
Permanent, Part-time, 22.5 hours a week
Job description

We are working in partnership with the leading UK charity for adults at risk of, or affected by, any type of liver disease. Liver disease is in crisis across the country, with late or missed diagnosis leading to avoidable deaths. There is a lack of awareness and understanding of the range and causes of liver conditions, which needs to change.  We need to be much, much bigger to tackle this crisis.

The charity is looking to appoint a Trust and Foundations Officer to generate income from a portfolio of charitable trusts and foundations by producing timely, high quality grant applications, providing appropriate and levels of stewardship leading to long term support, and researching new prospects and grant programmes. The postholder will also write engaging copy, carrying out patient interviews and writing up case studies.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following:

  • Experience and evidence of successful fundraising from Trusts and Foundations
  • Evidence of fundraising success, increasing funding from existing donors, and opening new sources of income
  • Experience of using a database to manage funder details, application and update programmes and reporting on results
  • Experience of writing engaging copy, interviewing beneficiaries, and creating a compelling case for support

The successful candidate will manage mainly small and medium sized trusts, including regional trusts and foundations, who award vital income and regionally focused patient support and campaigning work. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a track record of trust and foundation fundraising to join an ambitious and growing team; any experience in statutory, corporate, legacy or major donor fundraising would be an advantage.
