What you’ll do

This is a varied and collaborative HR Business Partner role where you’ll work closely with senior leaders and managers across Anna Freud, helping shape people plans, provide expert advice and support teams to deliver their priorities in a way that reflects our values and supports a positive colleague experience.

• You’ll build trusted relationships with Executive Directors and senior managers, getting to know their teams and priorities so you can offer practical and proactive people support that meets business needs
• You’ll provide expert advice and guidance on a range of employee relations matters, including restructures, TUPE transfers, disciplinary and grievance matters, helping managers feel confident navigating complex situations
• You’ll partner with colleagues across People & Culture, including HR Operations, Organisational Development and Recruitment, to deliver joined-up people initiatives and make sure support feels consistent and effective
• You’ll help shape and implement people strategies that support service delivery, using your HR expertise to develop solutions that are practical, people-focused and aligned with organisational priorities

What you’ll bring

This role would suit an experienced HR professional who enjoys building strong relationships, partnering with senior leaders and providing practical, people-focused advice in a collaborative and purpose-driven organisation. You’ll bring a broad HR generalist background, sound judgement and the confidence to support managers through both day-to-day people matters and wider organisational change.

• Strong experience developing and delivering HR strategy, with the ability to translate organisational priorities into practical people-focused solutions
• Excellent knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice, alongside experience advising on employee relations matters such as restructures, TUPE transfers, disciplinary and grievance processes
• Proven experience building effective working relationships with managers, colleagues and wider stakeholders, with the confidence to influence and build credibility at all levels

Key details

Hours: Full-time 35 hours per week: usual working hours are Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00. Flexible working is possible.

Salary: £52,000 FTE per annum, plus 6% contributory pension scheme

Location: hybrid working (a mixture of onsite and home/remote working). Staff are working onsite for at least 20% of their working hours at our London office (4-8 Rodney Street, London N1 9JH)

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled CBT Therapist or Psychologist to join Gordon Moody, supporting individuals experiencing gambling-related harms through specialist psychological assessment and evidence-based treatment.

This role involves delivering structured Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) interventions across both individual and group settings within residential and remote treatment programmes. You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to provide psychologically informed, trauma-informed care that supports long-term recovery and wellbeing.

The successful candidate will work autonomously within professional guidelines and within the overall framework of Gordon Moody’s clinical governance, policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Responsibilities:

• Provide specialist psychological assessment and treatment for individuals experiencing gambling-related harms.

This senior role is responsible for ensuring the safe, effective, and evidence-based delivery of structured treatment for individuals experiencing gambling-related harms and associated mental health difficulties. Working closely with the Head of Therapy, you will lead clinical practice, governance, workforce development, and service quality across multidisciplinary teams.

The role operates within services delivered independently by Gordon Moody and is aligned to national gambling harms policy frameworks and the ambitions outlined within the NHS Long Term Plan.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Leadership & Practice:

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate individual to join their organisation as a Peer Mentor. As a Peer Mentor you will need to have living experience of mental health difficulties and have gained a level of insight into your mental health experience and be ready to talk about them openly. It is important that applicants have reached a period of stability and can manage their mental health and wellbeing, in order for them to be ready for this role. They are looking for someone who is ready to use their experience to support and inspire service users in their recovery journey. Peer Mentors will support service users on their emotional journey, and form therapeutic alliances to share ways of coping, understanding and nurturing hope and inspirations.

You will need to have excellent communication skills, with a good understanding of the individual recovery journey and the issues facing people suffering with mental health difficulties. They need a Peer Mentor who is able to share the values of our organisation and is passionate about their vision of “Better Mental Health for All” in Birmingham.

You will be joining their newest service- the Recovery House- a new flagship standard of support and care for those in mental health crisis. Recovery House offers short stay accommodation for people in crisis, for a maximum of 7 nights. This is a 24/7 service and is ran in partnership with the Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Trust, Peer mentors will be part of a multi-disciplinary team made up of both Birmingham Mind and NHS staff.

As a member of the Community Team, you will provide vital support to people who have completed our course in prison and are now in the community working to find the stability they need to realise their potential, achieve their goals and rebuild their lives after prison.

At the National Garden Scheme a central office with a team of 13 is the hub for a wide range of activity involving hundreds of volunteers, thousands of garden owners and a large audience of beneficiary charities, suppliers, supporters and partners, as well as members of the public who want to visit gardens and engage with the charity.

The Head of Operations leads and manages County Support, a team of four who deliver the resources, information and support needed by our volunteer county organising teams who support the garden owners. The Head of Operations is key in ensuring that the volunteers feel valued and supported. 

The right candidate will have experience of database management, ideally Microsoft Dynamics, so that they can update, interrogate and maintain our database and online portal through which garden owners register and manage their garden data. We are currently updating our IT system and there will be a need for change management to ensure that staff and volunteers are comfortable using the new system.

The successful applicant will thrive in a busy, hands-on and varied role and the key requirements are efficiency and excellent communication skills.  This is a role for a meticulous, problem-solving people person.

Key responsibilities

Manage the county support team

• Lead and manage the county support team
• Manage smooth working relations between the county support team and other staff
• Lead the county support team in their day to day activities and relationships with county organising teams, garden owners, visitors and other stakeholders

To work closely with and manage liaison with county team volunteers

• To work with county organisers to maximise levels of service from head office
• To work with county organisers for smooth recruitment and succession for volunteer roles

To manage and deliver the annual data gathering and fulfilment operations

• To work with county support and county teams in annual gathering of garden data
• To ensure timely delivery of material to publisher
• To organise and deliver with county support the annual delivery of bulk orders to county teams

To manage key operational elements for the organisation

• To oversee the insurance of garden openings, including claims

To support the Chief Executive in the provision of HR to employees and volunteers

• To recruit, induct and train new members of staff as required
• To carry out performance reviews for some members of staff
• To manage welcome days at head office for new volunteers.

Other duties include:

• Attend national garden shows (e.g. Chelsea) and other events as required.
• Protect and enhance the organisation’s public reputation when speaking on its behalf.

Benefits:

• 28 days holiday (inclusive of public holidays), subsequent increases up to 33 days.
• Permanent, full time role, 35 hours a week – 9am to 5pm with one hour lunch break.

You’ll lead internal communications across our strategic portfolio of programmes and projects - ensuring colleagues feel informed, engaged and inspired throughout the change journey. 

Working closely with senior leaders, project teams and the wider Communications team, you’ll ensure that our programmes and projects are supported by clear, consistent and compelling internal communications that align with our organisational narrative and values.
