What you do

The Campaign Manager will lead the development and delivery of engaging, audience-focused campaigns that raise awareness of the charity, increase understanding of cancer support services, promote grant-giving programmes, and help drive fundraising growth across the region.

The role will focus on bringing the charity’s impact to life through powerful storytelling, creative campaigns, and compelling content that demonstrates how the charity supports people affected by cancer and invests in hospitals, healthcare services, and local communities.

Working across fundraising, services, and communications, the Campaign Manager will develop integrated campaigns that inspire support, strengthen community engagement, and increase the visibility and reach of the charity.

Key Responsibilities 

Campaign Development & Delivery

• Develop and deliver multi-channel campaigns that support the charity’s strategic priorities and objectives.

• Create awareness campaigns that promote the charity brand, support services, fundraising activities, and grant-giving programmes.

• Lead campaign planning from concept through to delivery and evaluation.

• Ensure campaigns are audience-focused, emotionally engaging, and aligned with the charity’s values and tone of voice.

• Coordinate campaign timelines, budgets, assets, and stakeholder input to ensure successful delivery.

Demonstrating Impact Through Storytelling

• Develop compelling campaign content that demonstrates the real-life impact of the charity’s work.

• Showcase how fundraising supports people affected by cancer, healthcare improvements, hospital services, community initiatives, and wellbeing programmes.

• Gather and develop case studies, patient stories, supporter testimonials, videos, photography, and impact data.

• Work sensitively with beneficiaries, families, healthcare professionals, and grant recipients to capture authentic stories.

• Translate complex healthcare or grant information into accessible and engaging public-facing content.

Supporting Fundraising Growth

• Create campaigns that help increase fundraising income and supporter engagement.

• Support community fundraising, events, corporate partnerships, individual giving, and appeals through targeted campaign activity.

• Develop supporter journeys and engagement campaigns that encourage donations, participation, and long-term loyalty.

• Identify opportunities to broaden audience reach and attract new supporters.

Awareness of Services & Grant-Giving

• Increase awareness of the charity’s support services among people affected by cancer, carers, healthcare professionals, and local communities.

• Promote grant-funded projects and partnerships across hospitals and community settings.

• Work collaboratively with service delivery teams and healthcare partners to communicate outcomes and opportunities effectively.

• Support campaigns that improve access to services and reach underserved audiences.

Content & Communications

• Develop campaign content across digital, print, social media, email, video, PR, and advertising channels.

• Work with designers, photographers, videographers, agencies, and suppliers where required.

• Ensure all campaign materials are accurate, accessible, inclusive, and on brand.

• Contribute to website content, newsletters, impact reports, and social media storytelling.

Monitoring & Evaluation

• Monitor campaign performance and provide regular reporting on engagement, reach, conversions, and impact.

• Use audience insights, analytics, and feedback to optimise campaign effectiveness.

• Evaluate return on investment and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Relationship Management

• Build strong relationships across fundraising, services, healthcare partners, community organisations, and external suppliers.

• Act as a positive ambassador for the charity at events, meetings, and partnership activities.

• Support collaborative working across teams to maximise campaign impact.

Delivering safe, compliant properties
As Repairs and Compliance Manager, you will help keep our homes, offices, and supported living environments safe, well maintained, and fully compliant. You will oversee responsive repairs, void works, planned maintenance, and landlord compliance across Affinity Trust’s property portfolio.

You will work with contractors, operational teams, landlords, and stakeholders to ensure repairs are completed efficiently, compliance standards are met, and services keep improving. This is a varied role where you can make a real impact.

What you will do

• Oversee repairs, voids, and planned maintenance across the property portfolio.
• Ensure landlord compliance and health and safety requirements are met and accurately recorded.
• Carry out site inspections and monitor contractor performance and quality.
• Manage contractor relationships and drive service improvements.

Leading tenancy and housing partnerships
As an experienced and motivated Housing & Partnership Manager, you will lead the delivery of a responsive, high-quality tenancy management service across our properties. This role is perfect for someone with a strong housing background who is passionate about supporting people to live independently and confident in building positive, collaborative relationships with landlords, local authorities, NHS teams, and internal colleagues.

You will oversee the day-to-day management of tenancy services, including lettings, transfers, voids, rent arrears, and tenancy sustainment, ensuring services are delivered efficiently and in line with relevant policies and regulations. Working closely with teams across Housing, Property & Compliance, and Support Services, you will play a key role in resolving housing-related issues and improving outcomes for the people we support. You will also help strengthen and develop partnerships with external landlords and housing providers, supporting the continued growth and success of Affinity Trust’s services.

• Manage Affinity Manage tenancies and support independent living

• Re-let properties quickly and efficiently
• Handle rent arrears, Housing Benefit queries, and legal processes

The purpose of this role is to develop incredible relationships with new and existing fundraising supporters within your region helping them to network, influence and fundraise to have a significant impact on the work of the charity. Through your network and creating new opportunities you will increase income in your region across multiple income streams including Education, Individuals, In Memory Supporters and Community Organisations.

To be successful in this role you will: 

• Have previous experience in income generation – leading and inspiring networks in order to generate long term income and partnerships 

• Be self-motivated, independent, and target-driven 

• Possess a natural confidence in talking to people and encouraging their support.

• Have excellent communication and relationship building skills - be friendly, approachable, inspiring and engaging 

• Full clean driving license, with access to a car 

Principle Responsibilities  

• Proactively recruit high-calibre supporters, volunteers, and community groups, inspiring and leading these networks to generate sustainable income

• Manage a portfolio of regional donors, ensuring excellent stewardship and long-term engagement. Enabling supporters to maximise their fundraising potential 

• Monitor and report on income, expenditure, and key performance indicators, including volunteer recruitment and event registrations, managing an income budget of approximately £600k PA.

• Deliver presentations and pitches to schools, community organisations, and businesses. 

• Act as “the face of BWCHC” within your region, developing and acquiring meaningful, long-term relationships

• Grow and strengthen volunteer and ambassador programmes in line with charity processes and procedures. Enhance fundraising volunteers’ skills to act on behalf of the Charity 

• Spend at least 50% of your time working within your region. Plan effectively, develop fundraising products, and collaborate with colleagues across departments to ensure excellent donor stewardship. 

• Maintain strong communication and collaboration across the fundraising department and hospital, balancing relationships effectively while working remotely. 

• Drive the regional fundraising strategy with energy and creativity, identifying and nurturing long-term supporter relationships to secure sustainable fundraising and volunteering opportunities.

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and driven Shop Manager to join our team in Worksop. This is a permanent, full-time position (37.5 hours per week), working on a 7-day rota (Monday to Sunday)​

As a Shop Manager you will be responsible for the day to day running of our store by leading an inclusive team of paid colleagues and volunteers to maximise sales income and to minimise costs. You will have the passion to drive your store to be the best in the area.

What you will do: 

• Drive sales in the store to meet expected budgets and KPI’s 

• Run a high-density shop, ensuring that the shopfloor meets retail merchandising standards and that stock is rotated onto the shopfloor daily. 

• Ensure that stock is generated over the door and that donors are signed up for Gift Aid.

• Ensure that the high standard of customer service that is expected by Mencap is delivered at all times.

• You will be an inclusive leader developing your team, paid and volunteers, through training and performance reviews.

• Be responsible for all financial, cash handling, security, safeguarding and health and safety in the store. ​

To be a successful Shop Manager you will be: 

• An experienced manager with the ability to drive sales and meet KPI’s, ideally within a fashion retail environment. 

• Ability to lead and support a team from varying backgrounds. 

• Ability to meet the needs of the customers to generate and increase the sales of the store.

• Have a flexible approach to working hours and days, including weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis.

We are currently seeking a Volunteer Coordinator to join our dedicated Volunteering Team at Rainbows. Volunteers play a pivotal role in supporting every aspect of our vital work – from fundraising and events, to our retail shops and the hospice itself – with over 350 individuals generously volunteering their time, skills, and passion.

We are looking for a positive and enthusiastic individual who will help ensure volunteers feel welcomed, supported, and confident, enabling them to make a meaningful difference to children, young people and families across our services.

Location: Primarily an office-based role, at our hospice in Loughborough.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9 am – 5 pm. Some flexibility is required, as occasional evening and weekend working and regional travel will be part of supporting volunteers.

About the role

As a Volunteer Coordinator, you will play a key role in shaping how people volunteer with Rainbows. You’ll lead on volunteer recruitment across the East Midlands, building relationships with communities and organisations, and supporting individuals to find opportunities that match their motivations, skills and strengths.
