ShareGift release value from shareholdings of all kinds, generating a multi-million pound stream of funding for charities across the UK. Since 1996, ShareGift have made more than 10,000 grants worth almost £50 million and supported over 3,500 charities, providing a vital source of funds that would not otherwise exist.
The charities chosen to receive ShareGift’s grants are suggested by donors and the organisations ShareGift work with, as well as being identified through independent research, with thousands of charitable causes suggested by the donor community as potential ShareGift beneficiaries every year.
Working as part of a small team, the Head of Grant-making will be ShareGift’s key liaison for charities and will promote ShareGift’s work to charity and corporate partners in person, at events and via social media.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement charity distributions aligned with ShareGift’s grant-making policy and ethos for approval by the Executive Grant-making Committee.
- Act as the key liaison for charity contacts, including handling enquiries, helping charities to promote share donation to their supporters and act as the champion for ShareGift’s unique grant-making and distribution model.
- Research charitable themes and cause areas, conduct due diligence on potential beneficiary charities, maintain updated records in the CRM system, and record charitable distribution on 360Giving.
- Promote ShareGift’s work at relevant industry events, in publications and via ShareGift’s social media platform (primarily LinkedIn).
The Head of Grant-making will have wide-ranging and detailed knowledge of the charity sector as a whole and grant-making specifically. The successful candidate will also have wider knowledge of fundraising and trends within the sector. You will be able to demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively in person, in writing and via presentations as promoting ShareGift’s work within the charitable sector is a key element of the role. You will be able to work effectively as part of a small team and be able and willing to get involved in a wide variety of tasks as required by the charity. The ideal candidate would have experience in marketing and social media in a professional setting, but this is not essential.
The successful candidate will be based in London or within commutable distance to the office. The role is 2 or 3 days a week (15 – 22.5 hours) and this can be worked flexibly, such as spread across the week or within 2 or 3 days. Ideally you will come into the office near Green Park once a week, but this is flexible.

About the role
As the Executive Assistant and Operations Manager at Tudor Trust you will be pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation and effective management of both administrative and operational functions within the organisation.
With a focus on providing comprehensive support to the Board and CEO, the role encompasses a diverse range of responsibilities, including executive assistance, operations management, HR administration, and financial support.
Key Responsibilities
Board and CEO Support
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the CEO, Chair of the Board and Trustees, including proactively managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and handling travel arrangements.
- Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and correspondence.
- Attending meetings for notetaking, to capture actions for next steps.
- Assist in organising events, workshops, and training sessions.
- Coordinate logistics, invitations, and follow-up activities for meetings, and in particular, board and committee meetings.
Operations Management
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the organisation, including facilities management, office supplies procurement, and equipment maintenance.
- Develop and implement efficient processes and procedures to enhance operational effectiveness and streamline workflows.
- Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and service providers to ensure smooth operations and timely resolution of any issues.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and procedures related to health and safety, data protection, and organisational governance.
- Support the review and planning of opening up the use of the building to external stakeholders for social and creative purpose.
- Handle general administrative tasks such as managing office supplies and maintaining SharePoint.
HR and People Administration
- Assist with recruitment processes, including posting job advertisements, scheduling interviews, and candidate communication.
- Coordinate employee onboarding and induction programs, ensuring a smooth transition for new hires.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personal information, employment contracts, annual leave and sickness absences.
- Support the organisation in implementing policy changes and fostering a positive people culture, addressing routine employee inquiries and offering guidance as needed.
- Liaise with our outsourced HR provider to ensure our HR documentation and records, including employee contracts, policies, staff handbook and compliance requirements are kept up to date.
Financial Administration
- Assist with basic financial tasks, including processing invoices, expense reports, and reimbursements.
- Review all our insurances and support the Head of Resources with the administration of the charity’s bank accounts.
As our organisational change initiatives progress, the EA & Operations Manager role will evolve, facilitated and managed by ongoing reviews conducted in collaboration with the Head of Finance and Resources.
Person Specification
Skills, Experience and Knowledge
- Experience as an Executive Assistant or Administrator.
- Experience in coordinating with suppliers, contractors, and service providers to maintain smooth operations and address any operational issues promptly and effectively.
- Proactive and detail-oriented, with the ability to anticipate and address the CEO's needs
- Forward thinking, organisational and project management skills
- Organisational skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities.

Location: Holyoake House, Manchester / Hybrid
Salary: £46,173 per annum (pro rata to 21 hours - £27,704)

About the role:
As Programme Manager for 'Our Business', you will be responsible for managing the ‘Our Business' programme from inception to completion and acting as the primary contact between the organisation and our partners at Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) and beyond.
The organisation has been tasked by GMCA to deliver the first phase of the ‘Our Business’ project and that’s where you come in. We are looking for an experienced Programme Manager to lead this important and exciting project.
Key responsibilities include:
- To lead the planning, design, delivery, and evaluation of the Our Business project, ensuring successful completion and delivery of the agreed project outcomes.
- To monitor and evaluate the project, delivering analysis and reports as necessary and complying with all GMCA reporting requirements, including using the GMCA’s GMIT system and ensuring that the programme achieves and reports on meeting its stated target outputs and outcomes.
- To support the set-up of the Our Business co-operative, ensuring that it is delivered in line with the requirements of co-operative governance and Values and Principles.
- To identify and secure a variety of funding mechanisms to support Our Business as a sustainable and independent co-operative beyond the life of the project.
- To form strategic relationships with large infrastructure bodies, recruiting them into membership of the Our Business co-operative.
- To complete the Social Value Portal reporting in line with GMCA’s requirements, ensuring that the social value targets for the programme are met.
- To manage the strategic partnership between various project stakeholders, including GMCA, Co-operatives UK, the training provider, and member groups, ensuring that everyone is kept informed and updated and can work collaboratively to ensure full cohesion and successful execution of the project.
- To support the CEO in the delivery of the marketing and communications plan for Our Business, including the design and delivery of recruitment and promotion events.
- To manage the project budget, ensuring that spend remains in line with the agreed budget.
- To work closely with the Tech Manager, ensuring the effective management of the online platform (supplied by Hivebrite).
- To act as line manager to the Digital & Community Co-ordinator.
About you:
To be successful in this role, you will be enthusiastic about the organisation and its mission, and you will have experience working as a Programme Manager in another organisation.
- Project management: Strong project management skills to oversee the delivery of the online platform and manage the triage and community process effectively.
- Technical understanding: A basic understanding of technology, especially in managing ‘Hivebrite’ online platforms, to collaborate efficiently with the Tech Lead.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills to liaise with the contract manager and relevant teams at GMCA, working with the Tech Manager, line management of Digital & Community Co-ordinator, and other stakeholders.
