Prospectus is delighted to be partnering with the Fundraising Regulator for the recruitment of an FPS Administrator on a full time six month contract. The role is offered on hybrid basis with two days in the London office.
The Fundraising Regulator is an independent, non-statutory body that regulates fundraising across the charitable sector in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland.

This role is a 6-month contract and the successful candidate will report directly to the FPS Contracts Manager and will be instrumental in ensuring the FPS functions efficiently. This role is vital for facilitating smooth communication between the public and charities, as well as for improving compliance within the charity sector.
This role involves managing the daily operations of FPS, processing requests through the telephone helpline and online portal, and ensuring the timely distribution of system-generated letters. The job also requires engaging with charities to ensure they promptly collect their suppression requests, identifying non-compliant organisations, and contributing to team initiatives.
The ideal candidate should have excellent customer service and communication skills, proficiency in using web applications, databases, and Microsoft Office, as well as the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders. They should possess a methodical approach to repetitive tasks, pay close attention to detail, prioritise workload, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision. Desirable qualities include a background in call handling, experience in charity or regulatory sectors, and familiarity with charity fundraising.

This role is an opportunity for a Paralegal to join a large in-house legal team and work on a broad range of matters. It will specifically involve supporting the Agreements, Information and Disputes (AID) team within legal services, consisting of five lawyers.
The successful candidate will be required to work across areas of law including but not limited to information law, contracts, intellectual property, procurement, subsidy and state aid, insolvency, recoveries and public law. In addition to providing research, drafting and general support to the Fund’s lawyers, it is expected that the Paralegal will handle matters under supervision and use legal knowledge to improve the Fund’s internal processes and precedents.
The bulk of the Paralegal’s workload will consist of legal support work however the candidate will also be expected to perform some administrative tasks and cover for the team’s administrative officer when required.
Experience working in a fast paced in-house or private practice environment would be ideal with legal research and IT literacy an advantage. Knowledge of insolvency and debt recovery would be desirable.

Location: The role can be based at any of our UK offices, these are Belfast, Birmingham, Cardiff, Exeter, Glasgow, Leeds, London, Newcastle and Newtown. The role does not include any line management responsibilities. We have a hybrid approach to working - work pattern and location will be agreed with the successful candidate.

Essential criteria
- Strong academic background with a law degree or undergraduate degree and law conversion qualification;
- Experience working within a Legal office environment
- Knowledge of and/or interest in gaining experience in an arms length public body;
- Good communication and organisational skills to work effectively with a broad range of people.
Desirable criteria
- Understanding and application of public and/or charity law;
- Experience with insolvency and debt recovery;
- Legal experience as a paralegal/advisor;
- Proficient with computer systems including Outlook, Microsoft Teams and online file management databases.

Our financial information is highly visible to our donors and grantees, so this role is a crucial enabler for the effective delivery of all areas of our work. The role will be overseen by a part time Finance Manager, who will produce management accounts, annual accounts, budgets, forecasts etc. Part time work will be considered for the right candidate.
The Finance Officer/Bookkeeper will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of accurate and timely finance administration, across two databases (currently Sage and Salesforce). This is a vital role within HIWCF, as high quality finance information is fundamental to our role and reputation in the region as a trusted partner for our fundholders and grantees.
Key Tasks
· Adding all payments transactions (grants, invoices, salaries, expenses, HMRC payments etc) to Sage and the bank accounts, ensuring all evidence is correct and payments are correctly authorised
· Adding all donation income to Sage and Salesforce, and working with other team members to ensure they are acknowledged appropriately
· Adding all quarterly investment income to Sage and Salesforce and reconciling across both databases, and to the investment house reports and bank account
· Regular reconciliations between Sage and Salesforce and bank accounts
· Ensure HMRC payments and gift aid claims are undertaken in a timely manner
· Manage banking records
· Monthly reconciliations for Bank account, purchase ledger, Sage, Salesforce, prepayments, accruals, salaries, PAYE, pension etc
· Monthly journals for non-cost items
· Manage pension with NEST and other ad hoc pension providers and manage insurances
· Ad hoc finance related tasks including reporting on returned grants, managing pension payments, insurances etc
· Any other appropriate tasks as directed

Your responsibilities will include administration, logistics, and coordination of programme and training activities, such as liaising with charity participants, event planning, training facilitation, financial administration, data management, marketing and content creation, impact evaluation, and reporting.
