We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Fundraising Manager to implement the fundraising strategy for an important charity.
Position: Fundraising Manager
Location: Remote with some travel required for in-person meetings and events
Hours: Part-time, 28 flexible hours per week
Contract: 12-month fixed-term contract with opportunity to extend
Salary: £35,200 per annum for 4 days per week

About the role:
The purpose of the Fundraising Manager’s role is to develop the role and fundraising strategy of the organisation. You will support the CEO with creating the role, strategy, systems, and activities of income generation for the organisation. You will lead in securing funds from trusts and foundations through grant applications and develop the individual giving campaign as well as leading the growth and future development of new income streams from individuals, corporate partnerships, and other sources. Within all of this, you will oversee the strategy to grow the Fund HER pot of funds that are growing to distribute to women candidates preparing for future elections.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Work with the CEO throughout the contract to design the role of Fundraising Manager as we develop strategy, systems, and activities within the parameters of a 28-hour working week.
- Develop a fundraising and business development strategy, including individual giving, third sector and statutory bodies to move us towards greater sustainability and diversity of income streams.
- Develop a specific Fund HER strategy to build the pot of funds for us to distribute to women candidates preparing for future elections.
- Work with the CEO and wider team to organise any income generation events as articulated in the strategy.
- Achieve agreed grant income targets through writing successful grant applications and tenders.
- Maintain an up-to-date working knowledge of funders and their criteria, through the ongoing research of potential trust and grant funders.
- Maintain excellent relationships with current funders and develop strong relationships with new and prospective funders to prompt ongoing and increased giving.
- Work closely with the CEO to ensure that funders receive accurate outcomes and impact-focused reporting information within agreed timescales.
- Develop, maintain, and update the organisation’s grant funding database.

Essential Criteria:
- Experience in fundraising leadership and identifying new funding opportunities.

As Senior Bid Writer you will be working with the bid writing team to write bids for and assist with fundraising for partner organisations. You will lead on bid writing and funding applications to a range of funding bodies and trusts and produce high quality funding applications and funding bids. You will also be working with partner organisations to develop capital or revenue projects.
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- Knowledge of fundraising within a charity, CIC or non-for-profit organisation
- Experience of developing both capital and revenue projects for non-for-profit organisations. Ideally will have written successful bids to Heritage Lottery, Arts Council and Children In Need.

Working as part of a small team, the Head of Grant-making will be ShareGift’s key liaison for charities and will promote ShareGift’s work to charity and corporate partners in person, at events and via social media.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement charity distributions aligned with ShareGift’s grant-making policy and ethos for approval by the Executive Grant-making Committee.
- Act as the key liaison for charity contacts, including handling enquiries, helping charities to promote share donation to their supporters and act as the champion for ShareGift’s unique grant-making and distribution model.
- Research charitable themes and cause areas, conduct due diligence on potential beneficiary charities, maintain updated records in the CRM system, and record charitable distribution on 360Giving.
- Promote ShareGift’s work at relevant industry events, in publications and via ShareGift’s social media platform (primarily LinkedIn).
The Head of Grant-making will have wide-ranging and detailed knowledge of the charity sector as a whole and grant-making specifically. The successful candidate will also have wider knowledge of fundraising and trends within the sector. You will be able to demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively in person, in writing and via presentations as promoting ShareGift’s work within the charitable sector is a key element of the role. You will be able to work effectively as part of a small team and be able and willing to get involved in a wide variety of tasks as required by the charity. The ideal candidate would have experience in marketing and social media in a professional setting, but this is not essential.
The successful candidate will be based in London or within commutable distance to the office. The role is 2 or 3 days a week (15 – 22.5 hours) and this can be worked flexibly, such as spread across the week or within 2 or 3 days. Ideally you will come into the office near Green Park once a week, but this is flexible.

About the role
The Programme Officer is a new role at Tudor Trust and offers an exciting opportunity to lead transformative initiatives that amplify the voices of under-resourced communities and contribute to systemic change. By the end of 2024, we expect to have three Programme Officers in place.
As a Programme Officer, you will play a pivotal role in reshaping Tudor’s grant-making approach, fostering collaborative relationships with grantees and stakeholders, and contributing to strategic thinking to drive long-term racial, social, and economic change.

- Take a proactive role in rebuilding Tudor’s grant-making strategy, identifying opportunities to develop alternative networks and power-building initiatives within disproportionately disadvantaged communities impacted by discrimination.
- Hold a grant-making portfolio and work closely with grantees to develop comprehensive change strategies that foster broader societal impact.
- Build genuine and respectful relationships with organisations and leaders in the field, actively identifying potential funding relationships and opportunities for collaboration.
- Apply a JEDI (Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion) lens to guide funding decisions towards under-resourced groups and leaders, taking accountability for equitable decision-making.

You’ll be part of a team of Funding Officers, led by a Funding Manager, responsible for our grant-making activity in a geographical area. There are eight Funding teams in Scotland each covering a different geographical region with between 4 and 8 Funding Officers in each team.
Funding Officers usually work on grant-making activity within one local authority area and are the main point of contact for all grant-holders and applicants in that area.
Role Responsibilities include:
- You will provide advice to prospective applicants, assess applications and will be in regular contact with grant-holders as they progress with their projects. Your recommendations will guide decisions on awarding grants and how we support grant-holders.
- You will contribute to learning and evaluation of our work, outreach and stakeholder engagement in your area. You will ensure that our funding responds to the local context and our commitment to equity and inclusion. You will be expected to challenge yourself and colleagues to continually improve the way we work.
- You will be responsible for understanding how an organisation’s ideas align with our funding priorities and making good judgements about when to take an application further or when to signpost to alternative opportunities. During your first few weeks with the Fund, in person training will be delivered in Glasgow, you can expect to be office based on most working days. After the initial training period work patterns are more flexible. There can be occasional weekend and evening working, but most of our work takes place on week days in normal working hours.

About the HR Officer role:
We are looking for a self-driven, highly motivated team player to join our HR department.
This is a generalist HR role, working closely as a critical member of the small HR Team. Your focus will be on tasks such as ensuring the accurate input of the monthly payroll process and pension submission, drafting correspondence (including change of terms letters, contracts etc), managing employees mandatory checks, supporting with employee training bookings, supporting the starters and leavers process, supporting with some recruitment if required and working on ad hoc HR Tasks.
Responsibilities as our HR Officer will include:
- Being first point of contact for all payroll queries. Managing and processing payroll on a monthly basis. Liaising with HR team and Employees/ Managers in regards to any payroll queries. Liaising with external payroll company Cintra to process payroll.
- Processing pension submissions on a monthly basis, following payroll completion that month.
- Drafting any change of terms letters, probation letters, supporting in investigation meeting where needed. Drafting invitation letters to meetings, outcome letters as and when requested.
- Carrying out HR Induction for all new starters and sending out welcome emails and co-ordinating the company induction.
- Supporting with booking in employee training and employee training requests, as well as booking in quarterly Company Inductions.
Requirements:
- HR generalist experience supporting a busy HR team including processing of new starters, leavers, data input, advice and guidance, employee training.
- Experience in monthly payroll input and checking and knowledge of payroll processes.
- Strong organisational skills – the ability to juggle a demanding workload and manage priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and the drive to get things right first time.

- Governance, organisation strategy, financial strategy, monitoring and evaluation, volunteer management, trustee development and funding applications. This support will primarily be through a one-to-many model and occasionally through paid-for one-to-one support to individual organisations.
Insights and Research (25%)
- Research the VCFSE sector across Cheshire East, understanding:
- How statutory and health services interact and evolve.
- How changes impact and affect VCFSE organisations and the people within this community.
- Collect insights from interaction with the sector and analyse findings with your work colleagues.
- Keep abreast of the latest information and updates within this sector.
Networking (20%)
- Facilitate networking and collaborative working between organisations.
- Attend statutory/health meetings, contribute VCFSE sector insights into these meetings and share insights gained with the team and then back to relevant VCFSE organisations.
Administration (15%)
- Understand and implement the key principles of monitoring and evaluation as an improvement tool.
- Recording all interactions on Salesforce for dissemination and analysis.
Project & Stakeholder Management (25%)
- Prioritise workload and deliver the requirements within a set parameter of time.
