Young Start distributes money from dormant accounts on behalf of the Scottish Government to projects that are run for and by young people aged eight to 25. Since 2012, it has distributed over £60 million to thousands of projects across Scotland.
You will be part of the Communications and Engagement team responsible for telling the story of our Young Start funding in Scotland to a variety of audiences.
You will also provide communications support and advice to a recently established Young Start development team tasked with ensuring that children and young people are better engaged with and centred in the work of the Young Start funding programme.
Responsibilities include:
•Leading on all regular announcements of Young Start funding to the media and stakeholders
•Interviewing young people behind the projects to produce content for media features, case studies and online social media channels
•Supporting our funding teams to deliver Young Start customer communications
•Managing the yearly production of the Young Start Annual Report, at the request of the Scottish Government.
•Supporting the Young Start team to deliver its work putting young people front and centre of the Young Start programme.
About you
You will be comfortable speaking to children and young people about the impact that the funding is making in their lives and telling their stories with duty of care and a creative and engaging approach.
You will be collaborative in nature and enjoy working proactively and in partnership with colleagues across the fund. An open, supportive and flexible team working approach is necessary.
You will be adept at managing a busy and varied workload.
There can be occasional weekend and evening working to suit the needs of young people, but most of our work takes place on weekdays in normal working hours.

Essential skills include digital content creation, audit experience, technical website knowledge, and proficiency in content management systems (Drupal preferred), digital marketing platforms, and analytics tools. Familiarity with Photoshop, Illustrator, video editing software, SEO, and pay-per-click marketing, plus agency collaboration experience, are valued but not mandatory.

About You:
The Client Services team is looking for an account executive to build and manage relationships with clients and help them to deliver exceptional supporter-led fundraising. You will be an experienced account executive or account manager working with outsourced business processes for a minimum of 2 years.
You will need to have strong organisation and communication skills, experience of managing workflows, and a high level of emotional intelligence. You’ll also need an eye for detail; be able to meet deadlines; have excellent written skills; and be a great communicator and able to form relationships with staff and clients. It’ll help if you’re technically savvy and able to keep on top of our clients’ needs.
The Role:
Return Fundraising was founded in 2015 with a clear mission: to bring together professional charity and agency fundraisers to improve the voice of telephone fundraising. We’ve been growing ever since: pioneering supporter-led fundraising with genuine conversations and long-term relationships.
Now, with new products gaining momentum and the business attracting new clients, we are again planning to expand our team, and are looking for the very best to jump aboard. The Client Services team is looking for an account executive to build and manage relationships with clients and help them to deliver exceptional supporter-led fundraising.
Main responsibilities:

Develop strong relationships with clients and proactively keep in regular contact, particularly by phone and in person

Reporting to clients on the performance of their campaign and being a point of contact for clients during their campaigns

Liaising between the client, the client services director and the operations team

Work with your line manager to deliver client projects on time and on budget and with the exceptional supporter-led fundraising that Return Fundraising is known

Use our project management system to manage workflow, including schedules for your projects, keeping them updated and making sure everything is on track.

Support the management team with scoping, costing and estimating projects

Help grow the business by identifying new opportunities; speaking to potential clients, organising introduction meetings, and working with your line manager to research clients, develop ideas and prepare proposals

Administrative support to the team, including preparing minutes and agendas, campaign review documents and other administrative tasks
Skills and Experience
Essential:

At least 2 years’ experience of working as an account manager or executive
