About this job:

As Major Gift Development Manager, you’ll:

• Manage a portfolio of existing major donors and prospects and ensure a first-class cultivation and stewardship journey with Dogs Trust to secure five and six figure gifts.
• Attend meetings with existing and new donors, developing bespoke, personalised written communications and proposals that fit with Dogs Trust’s brand.
• Manage and develop relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, such as other teams across Dogs Trust and VIPs.
• Support the Regional Major Gifts Team Manager in delivering the major donor elements of the fundraising strategy.

With a proven track record of personally securing major gifts from individuals and a strong understanding of philanthropy fundraising, you will be an excellent communicator capable of engaging with different audiences. Confident and credible, you will have the ability to form strong relationships with existing donors and the tenacity to build networks to find new supporters who can support our work with major gifts. We have an exciting opportunity for a Veterinary Behaviourist (Clinical Behaviour Services) to work on providing an internal referral service for behavioural medicine, recommending treatment protocols, monitoring patient progress, and assisting with more complex cases as required.

What does this role involve?

As Veterinary Behaviourist you’ll:

• Work with the Community Clinical Animal Behaviour and post-adoption support teams in devising the optimal behaviour rehabilitation strategy for dogs in their care while liaising with external veterinary practices as required to support the work of clinical teams.
• Support and advise staff across Dogs Trust on matters relating to psychoactive medication and links between disease, physiology and behavioural signs, under the direction of the Head of Clinical Behaviour Services.
• Provide behaviour consultations to owned dogs with behaviour problems especially those with a medical component that requires specialist input.
• Assist with staff training through workshops, clinical case reviews, mentorship and conferences.

About you:

With a good knowledge of dog behaviour, training and welfare you will have a veterinary qualification with postgraduate experience as a veterinary surgeon. With basic knowledge of statistical methods and ability to evaluate published research you will have enthusiasm for professional development, research and developing specialist skills in veterinary behavioural medicine.

Canine behaviour knowledge and practice is central to rehabilitating dogs within our rehoming centres, and for the provision of Dog School training and education classes. The role of the Clinical Behaviour Services team is to provide clinical behaviour services for members of the public including adopters of Dogs Trust dogs and in association with Dog School.

The Role:

The Partner Engagement Lead is responsible for key account management, and specifically developing and supporting relationships with programme sponsors and partners within the WorldGBC network.

The Partner Engagement Lead will work closely alongside the programme/projects team subject leads, taking responsibility for day to day management of activities that relate to sponsors or stakeholders, including partner relationships, external collaborations and fundraising.

Working cross-functionally within a matrix-style organisation, the Lead will work collaboratively on the engagement pillar of WorldGBC's fundraising team alongside the Partnerships Manager and the Strategic Partnerships Lead. This team coordinates closely with all WorldGBC departments, in particular where sponsors are involved with initial focus on the programme/project partners.

Well-organised and a great communicator, this individual will ensure that key relationships are managed effectively across the organisation, and be detail oriented in their reporting and accounting of opportunities. The Lead should also be willing to represent the organisation in relevant external opportunities relating to the programmes as need arises - including fundraising meetings, external working groups, events or conferences.

The Partner Engagement Lead will report to the Director of Programmes Strategy.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Account Management: Be primary point of contact for new and existing programmatic sponsors and partners, overseeing engagement with the network and accounting with detailed reporting to ensure up-to-date partnership records. Work alongside the programmatic team leads to deliver all agreed benefits to partners, ensuring a uniform balance of benefits and opportunities across sponsors engaging in all areas of the organisation.

2. Fundraising and Budget Management: Work alongside the programme leads to secure funding and manage relevant programme/project budgets (with guidance from the Director of Programmes Strategy), including supporting grant application and reporting responsibilities where necessary.

3. Stakeholder Engagement (members and partners): Engage with stakeholders to ensure that our programmes/projects align with their goals and needs, working with the Director of Programmes Strategy and wider programme team to explore best practice engagement tactics throughout 2024.

4. Subject Matter Expertise: Stay current with the latest trends in sustainable buildings and WorldGBC programme outputs, ensuring the Lead can communicate knowledgeably about WorldGBC strategy and work areas as required.

 

5. Communications: Support communication for WorldGBC on topics related to sustainable buildings in relevant programmatic areas, representing the team at internal or external events or industry working groups and collaborating with Marketing & Communications on accurate messaging for publications and campaigns.

6. Supporting Programmes team: Be a committed member of the WorldGBC team and offer support, training and expertise to wider members of the team. Participate and engage in wider WorldGBC campaigns, events and deliverables, such as COP, World Green Building Week and Leadership Summit.

This is a full-time, permanent role and you’ll be joining the organisation at an exciting, defining and hopeful time for dementia. You’ll be working in a friendly, busy team and on a variety of projects across fundraising, influencing, research, innovation and brand. 

We’re looking for someone with proven press office and/or journalistic skills and experience to work flexibly across priority campaigns to secure consistent, quality media coverage that instigates and sustains dialogue on dementia.

· Working with stakeholders to raise awareness and recognise and identify care leavers and young people in need of the Independent Visitors and Care Leavers service

· Looking at opportunities to engage and work with services to identify care leavers and independent visitors

· Reporting and discussing all safeguarding concerns with the service manager

· Completing initial assessments and matching volunteers to young people

· Raising the profile of the Independent Visitors and Care Leavers service

· Has qualifications relevant to the role

· Has experience of working with children and young people.

· Is aware of legislation such as Care Act 2014, Children and Families Act 2014, Children Act 1989, United Nations Convention on the Rights of the child (UNCRC)

· Has excellent communications and writing skills, and the ability to tailor written and verbal communications to a wide range of different audiences

· Can maintain existing relationships and develop new relationships with clients, families, colleagues and volunteers

· Can generate reports and make presentations

About the role:

As a Marketing and Digital Content Creator, you will play a vital role in elevating YMCA Leicestershire’s brand and engaging our supporters through captivating digital content.

Marketing and communications make an important contribution to the growth and success of the organisation, with impactful stories and campaigns increasing our visibility in the local community.  In 2022 we joined the YMCA national brand, but we’re the same independent local charity. This gives us access to many resources and helps us have a stronger voice on young people’s issues

This new Marketing and Digital Content Creator role will work alongside the Fundraising and Communications Manager and Partnerships and Events Fundraiser. The work is varied with different events and projects arising throughout the year and the team works collaboratively to achieve targets.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Developing and implementing digital plans to grow audience engagement and brand awareness.
• Creating exciting content for campaigns, emails, social media, and our website.
• Coordinating marketing projects and print materials across different service areas.
• Leading digital marketing efforts for fundraising campaigns, including regular giving and tailored communications.
• Maintaining supportive team working and building effective relationships with staff, service users, and supporters

About you

We are looking for someone who is:

• Passionate about the charity sector and committed to understanding YMCA Leicestershire’s work.
• Highly organised with the ability to plan and manage workload independently.
• Experienced in marketing, digital, with strong digital marketing skills.
• Proficient with digital tools and platforms, including social media and Google Analytics.
• A team player with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.

To succeed in the role of Marketing & Digital Content Creator, your key skills will include:

• A recognised formal qualification in Marketing/Digital
• Minimum level 2/GCSE in Maths and English
• Proven & relevant suitable experience in a Marketing/Digital content role
• Strong digital marketing skills, including content creation, scheduling and monitoring. Familiarity with paid digital advertising and social media platforms
• Experience of designing print and digital assets using Adobe Creative Suite, Canva or similar design programmes
