About the Charity
Jigsaw, Cumbria’s Children’s Hospice provides day to day care, support and activities to children and young people living with a life limiting illness. Eden Valley Hospice provides care for adults with life limiting illnesses from North Cumbria. Caring for children has always been at the heart of Eden Valley Hospice and Jigsaw, with one of the first patients cared for at the hospice being a young child.
In 2014 Eden Valley’s children hospice was renamed and rebranded to Jigsaw, Cumbria’s Children’s Hospice. Together, their mission is to provide palliative care and end of life services for adults, children and young adults with life changing and or life limiting illnesses, through promoting their wellbeing and enabling them and the people who are important to them to live life as fully and independently as possible.
Eden Valley Hospice and Jigsaw, Cumbria’s Children’s Hospice are both part of one charity with a common value base, governance, support services and facilities. In recognition of the different contexts for palliative care in Cumbria of adults and children the hospice introduces the services separately.
In return, you will be rewarded with the opportunity of working in beautiful Cumbria, within a well-supported and much-loved hospice.
