The role

CFG cannot afford to get its own finance wrong.  The principle purpose of this role is therefore to ensure CFG’s finances are robustly managed and that we can show how finance can be placed at the heart of effective decision making.  Additionally  you will lead our IT manager in ensuring that CFG’s systems and use of digital keep pace with developments and make best use of the resources available to us.  Finally you will oversee our HR Manager and the EA (to the CEO) who also managers CFG’s facilities requirements.

This is a unique opportunity to join the CFG team as the Director of Operations. We want an excellent leader who is excited by the challenge of leading our finance, IT, HR and facilities team.  Given who we are the expectations that we have of your technical and business partnering skills are high; but there is a great profile and access to the largest not for profit network of finance professionals in the UK waiting for the right person.

By nature you will be an exceptional people leader who can inspire and develop talent, spot potential and build capacity and capability in your team and throughout CFG. You will be a natural collaborator and always be striving to break down barriers or silos. Being a people leader will be a top priority for you at all times.

You will know how to bring out the best in people and be comfortable allowing others to find answers. You will be someone who enjoys continuously learning new skills and topics in a rapidly changing workplace.

You will feel comfortable driving CFG’s operations and will have a presence and credibility with internal teams and trustees alike
