Two wonderful opportunities have arisen within the Together Trust for creative self-starters to join the team as Fundraising Officers, forming part of a small but collaborative team striving to achieve common goals and increase the charity’s fundraised income.

And providing life-changing support for looked-after children and care-experienced people. Today, they’re one of the North West’s leading disability charities. They help children, adults, parents and carers, delivering individual care, support and education to thousands of people each year.

What the roles involve:

The post holders will be accountable to the Head of Fundraising for the development and delivery of a variety of fundraising activities and relationships. Duties will include:

  • Growing income within Individual Giving and charity Lottery
  • Supporting with the submission of successful trust and grant applications 
  • Promoting a range of events to generate maximum income and supporting all participants 
  • Planning, scheduling and managing personalised communications with events and community donors
  • Dealing effectively with incoming enquiries, phone calls and correspondence, drafting replies and sending our relevant information.
  • Managing existing partnerships and relationships with corporate supporters and stewarding them effectively 
  • Managing the charity's retail arm - overseeing the Depop account selling both new and vintage clothing and expanding into other sales channels including eBay. 

 

Who we are looking for:

We're looking for a creative-thinking all-rounders, ideally with previous experience in individual, community, corporate or events fundraising. We are also keen to hear from you if you’re looking to launch a career in fundraising and are willing to learn and develop skills within the varying and diverse areas of fundraising.

  • Extensive experience of working in a fundraising or office environment and as part of a team.
  • Proven experience of achieving financial targets in a fundraising, sales or customer service environment.
  • Strong and clear communication skills and a competence with public speaking, along with an ability to deliver messages to a variety of audiences
  • Ability to empathise and feel comfortable with both the people we support and their families/carers and providers within the Trust.
