Here at Charity Horizons we are delighted to be supporting Heart Research UK in their search for a Health Promotions Coordinator to join the team at this crucial time. Heart Research UK have been helping hearts for over 50 years and have, to date, invested £25m into research across the UK. People now live longer as a result of the advancements in prevention, treatment and cure of heart disease that have been made possible by this incredible charity.

We are looking for an individual to take on the accountability of coordinating the health promotions activity for the Health Promotion and Education team. As Health Promotions Coordinator you will be responsible for developing and effectively communicating health promotion and lifestyle advice to a wide audience including individuals, groups, stakeholders and the media. Among other tasks, you will provide invaluable support to enable people to make informed choices about nutrition, physical activity and lifestyle habits in order to prevent the development of coronary heart disease. Coordinating and delivering specific programmes, this role will be both varied and rewarding and play an integral role in the execution of some of the charity’s most important projects.

To be considered for this opportunity you should come to us with at least 2 years experience working in a health promotion role and have a background/qualification in nutrition, dietetics or public health. You should be experienced in interpreting up-to-date, complex scientific information and have an ability to present this complex information in an accessible way to suit varying audiences. Additionally, you should have an excellent understanding of the risk factors for coronary heart disease and strategies for addressing the barriers to behaviour change. A strong and confident communicator, you should be experienced in public speaking and networking and possess strong organisational skills and an exceptional eye for detail.
