Here at Charity Horizons we are delighted to be supporting the wonderfully values orientated Heart Research UK in their search for an ambitious and experienced fundraiser to join their team at this crucial time. Heart Research UK have been helping hearts for over 50 years and have, to date, invested £25m into research across the UK. People now live longer as a result of the advancements in prevention, treatment and cure of heart disease that have been made possible by this incredible charity.
We are looking for an Individual Giving, Legacies and In Memory Officer to join the team to raise invaluable funds to tackle coronary heart disease, one of the single biggest killers in the UK. As Individual Giving, Legacies and In Memory Officer you will be responsible for delivering growth and maximising fundraising income across all these channels. The role will be varied and interesting and will include legacy management, marketing and administration as well as the management of the charity’s individual giving programme. The role will also involve the stewardship of existing donors, planning, implementing and measuring donor acquisition activity in order to continually engage and retain existing supporters.
To be considered for this role you should come to us with experience in legacy marketing and administration and be comfortable working towards income targets within this income stream. Additionally, you should have an understanding of how to raise funds from individuals and a knowledge of regular giving fundraising channels and methods. A strong and confident communicator, you should possess the ability to communicate effectively to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and be able to write persuasive, creative and compelling content. Heart Research UK is dedicated to fundraising ethically and ensuring supporters donations are spent in the best possible way so, perhaps most importantly, you should be a determined and values orientated individual enthusiastic about fundraising and the work of this charity. We are looking for someone who will add to the charity’s positive culture and have the drive and passion to help HRUK achieve their ambitious goals.
As a result of the impacts of Covid-19 the charity has adapted to accommodate home workers as well as a safe return to the offices in Leeds. This role will therefore offer the flexibility for a blend of both office and home working for the foreseeable future. With a generous renumeration package and inclusive and welcoming working culture this really is a role not to be missed.
The recruitment for this role is ongoing and the role will close when a sufficient number of suitable candidates has applied – early application is therefore advisable! If you’d like to find out more, please contact Charlie or Leanne at Charity Horizons.
