Job description

Community Places Manager

Location - Birmingham

Full time

Bournville Village Trust are thrilled to be recruiting for a Community Places Manager to join the Community Development team.

The Community Places Manager will play an integral part in helping BVT to achieve their mission of "creating and sustaining communities where people can thrive". This is an exciting role for someone with extensive leadership skills as you'll be managing, supporting and delivering high quality social impact at the BVT community places and delivering the trust's community and development activity.

You will need to be confident in managing, leading and motivating staff, volunteers, and others across the organisation as well as building effective relationships with diverse people in the community. Helping organisations to improve their capacity (funding, leadership, social impact, engagement, diversity) is a key element of this role so a good track record in helping organisations to grow is important. You will also need to effectively lead on the design, implementation, monitoring and reporting of strategy, policy and guidance that supports BVT's management of its Community Places portfolio as well as be confident at managing budgets.

We would love to see applications from candidates who can deliver valuable community development outcomes whilst keeping BVT's business and social ambitions at the heart of all we do. If you have excellent organisational skills, problem-solving skills and are confident in your ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels then please apply.

Closing date: 09:00 Monday 27th September 2021

Please note that CV's will not be accepted. To apply you will need to complete an application using the link via our website.

We encourage potential candidates to get in touch to find out more about this role. To set up an informal conversation please email Cheryl Garvey (Head of Community Development) with your contact details including a number you can be contacted on.
