Job description

Charity People are incredibly pleased to work with Starlight Children's Foundation to find a tenacious Corporate Partnerships Manager to lead on New Business for the charity.

Job Title: Corporate Partnerships Manager
Organisation: Starlight
Salary: £40,000
Contract: Permanent, Full-time
Location: London
Closing Date: Monday 28th September 2020
Required: CV and Cover Letter

Starlight Children's Foundation is an incredible national children's charity that exists to preserve childhood throughout serious illness, through our hospital play & distraction services, wish granting and Starlight Escapes. Access to play during serious illness is especially important as a contributor to successful treatment and healthy development, enabling children to grow and develop and to experience childhood as it should be. All our services and activities are aimed at helping children and families deal with serious illness and distracting them for a while from the pain, fear and isolation they can often feel.

The activities and fun that the children have come at a testing time, where the results of these activities and programmes truly make a huge difference.
We are looking for a proactive Corporate Partnerships Manager to join the fundraising team, to lead on new business for the charity. We need a natural relationship builder with a can do attitude to bring in new partners and to think strategically on who to approach and introduce Starlight to.

Working with fantastic people in the fundraising team, you will help connect, begin conversations and pitch to new partners in line with the fundraising strategy and aligned to the charitable purpose - all with a view to creating campaign and strategic partnerships.
As a fundraiser, we are looking for someone with strong experience of working with UK brands and companies, particularly people who have had successes within charities. It's important to have the negotiation skills and the ability to secure multi-faceted corporate partnerships.

It's an exciting time to join Starlight as we launch our autumn/winter integrated campaign and a new website and develop our brand. With your ability to understand our charitable purpose and find and approach like-minded partners to team up with, you could really help Starlight reach more seriously ill children with our vital services.

Despite currently working mostly from home as a result of the current pandemic, Starlight is a close-knit community with a collaborative and fun spirit, creating a very warm and enjoyable work place.
