St Benedict's Hospice has been at the heart of the local community in and around Sunderland for over 35 years. Never standing still and always striving for the very best in care and a diverse range of services for patients and families, St Benedict's Hospice Charity is small, but mighty.
Due to unforeseen internal circumstances as well as the impact of the wider global picture, St Benedict's is looking for a motivational Director of Income Generation and Operations to support the team through a period of significant change that includes transformational fundraising and commercial strategy.
With responsibility for fundraising income as well as a profitable retail arm and transport services, you'll report directly to the Board of Trustees and work with them to create a robust and sustainable income generation strategy. Visionary in thinking and practical in approach, you'll be able to effectively translate strategy into deliverables and have the gravitas to drive bold ideas forward, engaging people both internally and externally and taking them on the journey with you.
You'll explore and implement the viability and sustainability of new income channels, finding ways to diversify and innovate. With the current challenges for fundraising, it's more important than ever that the hospice has a proactive and interactive online presence to engage the local community in new and imaginative ways.
We're looking for a proven fundraising leader with experience managing multiple income streams and a track record of developing and empowering teams. Drive, resilience and confidence are incredibly important. You'll be an empathetic and enabling manager who brings the best out in people and allows them to shine, both individually and as a whole. Financial planning expert; budget setting, targets and monitoring performance will be second nature to you.
