We're proud to be talent spotting for Homestart Trafford Salford and Wigan who are looking for their first in-house Fundraising Manager with a corporate focus. This is a rare part-time opportunity (2 or 2.5 days) that would suit either a consultant, someone looking to reduce their hours or to compliment an existing commitment.

Because of the work Homestart does, this is a really flexible role with a grown-up culture open to suggested working patterns (including home-based) with a charity that understands the importance of life and family-friendly working. It's an initial two-year fixed term contract.

Homestart provides support and friendship for families who are struggling to cope with a wide of range of situations such as loneliness, mental ill health, disabilities, multiple children, and increasing poverty and debt, support is provided to help prevent crisis and family breakdown. They recruit, train and support volunteers who are parents from the local community to visit families in their own homes for 2-3 hours per week in order to provide practical help and emotional support to families.

This brand-new role has been funded by a foundation who have recognised that Homestart could do more if they had extra money. You will put together a corporate offer to take out to local businesses to gain their support, which might include Charity of the Year, sponsorship, cause-related marketing and employee engagement. Homestart are in a unique positon to be able to offer meaningful voluntary opportunities for corporate organisations looking to fulfil their CSR needs.

We're ideally looking for someone with experience of corporate fundraising who can demonstrate a strong partnership track record. We'd also be open to candidates with transferable fundraising skills and an understanding of the corporate partnership landscape. Whatever your background, you'll be a highly motivated, target-driven fundraiser with exceptional stewardship and relationship-management skills who is comfortable presenting and pitching for new business.

We appreciate that now is a difficult time for the economy and the charity sector, but there is some foundational work to be done in packaging the corporate offer so plenty for someone be getting on with until you can get back out into the world and start fundraising.
