HEAD OF DEVELOPMENT OPERATIONS

Salary: £48,010 - £54,997 per annum

Founded in 1882, The Royal College of Music (RCM) is one of the world's greatest conservatoires. The RCM also achieved an overall rating of gold for its outstanding teaching and learning provision for undergraduates in the first ever Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF).

Reporting to the Director of Development & Alumni Engagement, and working closely with other senior DAE colleagues, the post-holder will play a crucial role in the strategic development of DAE, especially at this hugely exciting period of the More Music Campaign. You will maximise the impact of RCM's relationships with donors, Friends, and Alumni through the creation and implementation of strategies, systems, and reporting; helping build appropriate and lasting relationships at all levels. You will possess:

  • Demonstrable prospect research and database management experience
  • Experience of budget and KPI setting and monitoring
  • Experience and knowledge of the principles of effective stewardship

Experience of effectively leading a small team & forging meaningful relationshipsA sound knowledge of Gift Aid and other tax-effective giving mechanisms, along with experience of working within a fundraising campaign, would be highly desirable.
