Charity People is delighted to be working with Mind to help find a Head of Development (commercial workplace wellbeing products and services) to join their income generation team.

Salary: £48,000 - £54,000
Hours: Full time, 35 hours per week
Job type: Permanent
Location: East London - currently home based, moving to hybrid working model in 2022

We are looking for a skilled senior product development specialist with strong marcomms skills and a proven track record in successful stakeholder management.

As Head of Development (Workplace Wellbeing) you will join Mind's commercial development team which focuses on developing and delivering wellbeing products to support cultures of workplace wellbeing across all businesses in the UK. You will contribute to Mind's mission of fighting for mental health by developing, implementing and overseeing strategies that enable Mind to develop and deliver its key workplace wellbeing products and services.

The Development team sits within the wider fundraising team and works closely with the corporate partnerships team. With two direct reports, you will lead the Workplace Wellbeing team, overseeing the formulation of team work programmes, this will include working closely with the Product Manager (Mental Health at Work), Innovation Manager, Information team, Comms & Marketing team, Digital team and other key stakeholders to co-ordinate projects.

To succeed in this role, you'll be able to demonstrate:

  • experience of leading on and managing income generating/commercial product and service development and delivery within the private or voluntary sector
  • significant experience of leading major programmes, and of programme and project management
  • experience of developing internal and external networks to maximise and exploit opportunities for business development and income generation
  • experience of managing a team
  • experience of financial and budget
  • Excellent business strategy development including financial modelling
  • Proven ability to establish credibility with key senior stakeholders, excellent networking and influencing skills
