Flexible, with 2-3 times a month the west London office and regular travel to meetings -

Charity People are delighted to be partnering with City Harvest to help them find a new part-time Head of Fundraising to join their team, working flexibly and building a sustainable fundraising strategy to help ensure they can continue their valuable work. 

City Harvest is the leading food rescue charity in London. Its mission is to redistribute nutritious surplus food from supermarkets, restaurants, and food manufacturers to charities which use it to feed those in need. Each week, City Harvest distributes over 30 tonnes of food from its warehouse in Acton with a fleet of nine vans and a staff of 17 drivers and logistics staff. 

The charity is on a tremendous growth trajectory and now has an exciting new opportunity for a strategic Head of Fundraising to join the team and lead on the development and delivery of a sustainable fundraising strategy. With significant fundraising successes to date including support from trusts and foundations, high net worth individuals, and corporate partnerships, the charity is now looking to consolidate and grow this support under the professional guidance of an experienced senior fundraiser.

The role will include growing the charity’s online presence, launching fundraising events and developing community fundraising opportunities.  

You will be a proactive self-starter, with excellent communication and analytical skills, and significant experience of managing multi-stream fundraising. You will also have experience of working within a diverse team and, ideally, within a start-up or entrepreneurial setting.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic senior fundraiser, with a passion for sustainability and social impact, the drive to get things done and a sense of humour. It’s not often that a role like this comes up, with the flexibility to enable you to work from anywhere, anytime, providing you can be onsite in Acton two to three times a month and are happy to travel to London for meetings.
